Day 17 – ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2015

ChristmasDate17

Hello everyone! 🙂

It’s Day 17 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2015.

Did you know that that the moon is made of cheese? It’s true apparently as this dynamic duo discovered. Can you guess who I’m going to be talking about today on my advent calendar?

Yes! It’s ‘Wallace & Gromit’! I love this duo of a man and his dog from Aardman Animations. I love watching the films they’ve starred in, including ‘A Grand Day Out’; ‘The Wrong Trousers’; ‘A Close Shave’; ‘The Curse of The Were-Rabbit’ and ‘A Matter of Loaf and Death’. They’re all great films!

I first saw Wallace & Gromit in ‘The Wrong Trousers’ on TV back in the 1990s. ‘The Wrong Trousers’ is my favourite ‘Wallace & Gromit’ film. I remember watching ‘A Close Shave’ on TV when it was shown in 1995. These ‘Wallace & Gromit’ films usually get shown at Christmas which is very exciting.

I remember wanting to go to the moon as a kid and fly in a rocket from ‘A Grand Day Out’. My parents helped me to build a rocket out of cardboard which was very exciting to do. The rocket didn’t get me to the moon sadly, but I’ve very happy memories building it with my parents as a kid.

In 2005, Wallace & Gromit starred in their own movie called ‘The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’. I loved going to the cinema and see the film again and again. In 2008, I was thrilled to see ‘A Matter of Loaf and Death’ on Christmas Day after watching the ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas special, ‘The Next Doctor’ with the Cybermen.

I love ‘Wallace & Gromit’. Wallace is great and funny, and it’s good to watch these films with cheese and crackers like he does. Gromit is also great, even when he can’t speak and his facial expressions say it for him.

Thanks for reading.

Bye for now.

Tim. 🙂
