Amazing Announcement! – ‘The Moon Stallion’ Audiobook with Sarah Sutton

Hello everyone! 🙂

I found this on the ‘Fantom Films’ website –

The new audiobook of ‘The Moon Stallion’ by Brian Hayles and read by Sarah Sutton is coming out in May/June this year in 2016!

I’m really excited about this! I’ve pre-ordered my copy of ‘The Moon Stallion’ audiobook already! I’m looking forward to hearing Sarah’s lovely voice when she reads this beautiful novelization of the TV story!

And it’s a five-disc CD set! Amazing!

Check this out! –

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂

    Hi Tim

I don’t know this story at all, but I can tell it will be very good news for you! I’m really pleased for you, that you’re going to be able to get this story, and read in an audio form by Sarah Sutton.

    Hi Leigh.

I’m really looking forward to this audiobook. Sarah told me about it last year before it had been officially announced by Fantom Films. I’ve been looking out for it over these past months and am pleased it’s finally been announced and set for release.

It’ll be sheer bliss to hear 5 CDs of Sarah Sutton reading this wonderful story. I’ve wanted to have something that was non-‘Doctor Who’ related for Sarah as she easily gets recognized for her work as Nyssa and sometimes her other work gets forgotten.

I’m hoping I’ll post a full DVD review of ‘The Moon Stallion’ and a book/audio review on the novelization by Brian Hayles with Sarah Sutton reading it soon on my blog.

‘The Moon Stallion’ DVD was on Amazon, although it’s currently unavailable at the moment –

The ones that are available on Amazon are shockingly expensive –

I’m glad I had my DVD copy of ‘The Moon Stallion’ when I did for Christmas 2011. It was released in Germany and I can’t understand why it isn’t released in the UK yet.

I think you’ll enjoy ‘The Moon Stallion’ Leigh, as there’s some interesting historical contexts in it by Brian Hayles including the Feast of Beltane and such. As well as Sarah Sutton as Diane, there’s also David Haig (from ‘The Leisure Hive’) in and he’s great as the villainous Todman.

Thanks for your comments, Leigh. I am looking forward to this audio CD very much. I hope I’ll get this before my birthday in May. 😀

    Tim. 🙂

    Hi Tim

I can well imagine you’re looking forward to this audiobook.

It’s not one I’m familiar with, but I’ve had a look, and it does look like a really good story. I always like those old series, with really good stories, and it’s always better if you can get a story you love in book form, to revisit, as well.

I remember years ago seeing a tv series called ‘Moonfleet’ which was from a book first published in 1898 about smugglers in the eighteenth century – it was a great tv series, and I got the book, and read it, too. Funnily enough, there’s a Doctor Who link with that, too – the book was also filmed in the 1960s, and starred Frazer Hines and Patrick Troughton in it!

I will be interested to read your review of the DVD, and of the book/audio in due course, Tim. It does look like a really good story, and I will keep an eye out for it; hopefully I can get to enjoy it myself, in one of the formats available.
