The Big Finish Podcast – Sarah Sutton

Hello everyone! 🙂

I had a nice surprise when I came back from my weekend in Weston-super-Mare.

On the Big Finish website, I saw the latest podcast featuring an interview with Sarah Sutton (who plays Nyssa, my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ companion). I’d only just seen Sarah recently at the ‘Stars of Time Film and Comic Con 2016 @ The Tropicana’. It was great to find this podcast when I got home.

The interview with Sarah was recorded in 2007, during the making-of ‘Return to the Web Planet’, a Big Finish audio story with the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa. I was pleased to hear this interview, as Sarah was sharing her thoughts on ‘Return to the Web Planet’ and on the ‘Doctor Who’ series in general.

I’ve never heard Sarah’s thoughts on that particular story before and this interview was never released on the ‘Return to the Web Planet’ CD. So it was good to hear Sarah talking about how she found the story. I’m now looking forward to hearing an interview with Sarah Sutton on the upcoming releases.

It was funny to hear Sarah how she envied the new series and wanted to be in it like Elisabeth Sladen (who played Sarah Jane Smith in the series). I wish I was there in that interview to tell Sarah that ‘The Land of the Dead’ was her first Big Finish audio story and not ‘Winter For The Adept’! 😀

The podcast with Sarah Sutton was a delight to listen to. Having met Sarah already at conventions has made me appreciate how lucky I am to have met the lady who plays Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’ and become friends with her over the years. I cherish the times that I’ve seen Sarah at conventions more.

By the way, it was funny to hear the outtakes of the infamous line, “Stop talking and get on the ant!”

Here is a link to ‘The Big Finish podcast with Sarah Sutton’.

Enjoy!

There’s also a link to ‘A Conversation with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’) by Tim Bradley’, recorded in Bournemouth, August 2015.

Also check out my ‘Doctor Who’ fan fiction stories with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series.

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
