Hello everyone! 🙂
Check out this painting of Nyssa of Traken, my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ companion, on my blog!
This painting was done by Simon Rogers (Timelord007), who has been very supportive on my ‘Doctor Who’ reviews on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. Simon knows my love for Nyssa, Sarah Sutton and ‘Doctor Who’. I’m very pleased he did this for me, based on a photo of Sarah Sutton’s Nyssa in ‘Time-Flight’.
Simon does paintings of ‘Doctor Who’ characters on his Google+ page including the Doctors; Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, David Tennant, etc. I asked if he could do one for me on Sarah Sutton’s Nyssa, and he kindly said ‘yes’. It took him two days to do it and I’m pleased with the result!
I love this Nyssa painting and feel that Simon has captured Sarah Sutton’s likeness beautifully. The colours are great and I appreciate the fantastic work Simon has done here. With kind permission, Simon has allowed me to share this painting of Sarah Sutton as Nyssa here on ‘Bradley’s Basement’.
Check out these two images of Sarah Sutton’s Nyssa by Simon, before and after he did the colours.
Simon told me he tried to capture Sarah’s performance as Nyssa with that inner sadness of losing her father and Adric. I’m glad he had it in mind whilst doing this Nyssa painting, as it clearly shows.
Thanks Simon. Really love this Nyssa painting!
Tim. 🙂
No worries Tim, I’m glad you liked the painting of Nyssa my friend, I’ve never seen a before & after look before of one of my paintings i like it.
As this is my last painting for the foreseeable future I’m fairly happy how this one turned out.
