Merry Christmas From ‘Bradley’s Basement’ 2016

Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂

It’s Christmas Day today!

This is Tim Bradley from ‘Bradley’s Basement’ wishing everyone a very happy day! I hope you’ll get what you want for Christmas and that you’re enjoying spending time with your families and loved ones!

Here’s a photo of me with the Christmas tree at home!

The cricket jumper I’m wearing is the one worn by Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor! I purchased the cricket jumper from my previous visit to the ‘Doctor Who Experience’ this year! 😀

I’m looking forward to enjoying today! I’ll be going to the Christmas morning service at my local church and hope to enjoy spending time with my family later in the day; having Christmas dinner and opening my presents.

I’m sure I’ll be writing quick reviews on the latest DVDs that I’ve had for Christmas. I’m looking forward to seeing the 2016 Christmas special of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘The Return of Doctor Mysterio’ with Peter Capaldi today!

Stay tuned for another DVD review on something special that I’ll be posting on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ today! It’s one of ‘The Works of Sarah Sutton’ and it was shown as a Christmas special back in 1973! 🙂

Merry Christmas!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂

    Hi Tim

I like the picture of you and the Christmas tree at home – I think your Fifth Doctor cricket jumper is excellent, but where’s the celery!?

I do hope you had a great Christmas day, and had a lovely time with family, and enjoyed the presents, the company, and of course Christmas dinner!

The Who special is on here today (Boxing Day), so not too many hours after showing in the UK, and some cinemas here are playing it today, as well, with some special features too. I will watch it on tv tonight, when it is on at 7:30 p.m. here. Looking forward to seeing some new Who for 2016, and looking forward to the new series next year.

I have had a very busy year, and I’m having a very quiet day before having a break over Christmas and New Year. A good time to catch up with things, and with people.

I hope to get back to read more on the blog very soon, Tim, I’m looking forward to reading more of The Tree of Riverloth, and more of your excellent articles.

I hope you had a great Christmas Day, Tim, and that you are looking forward to a great 2017.

    Take care, Tim

    Best wishes and kind regards
    Leigh

    Hi Leigh.

Thanks for your Christmas message! I had a lovely day yesterday and enjoyed the gifts I received, spending time with my family and having Christmas dinner.

Glad you like the photo of me with my Fifth Doctor cricketing jumper. I like celery, but didn’t have the cream-coloured coat to wear to put a stick of it on my lapel. 😀

I hope you’ll enjoy the Christmas special today where you are on Boxing Day. I certainly enjoyed watching it. My review on the episode will be on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ soon. It has been a long while since the last time we saw the Doctor on TV, isn’t it? I’m looking forward to seeing the next series in 2017. The ‘coming soon’ trailer for that season looks exciting with the Doctor, Bill and Daleks in it.

I’m sure you’ve had a very busy year for 2016! You deserve a well-earned break and I hope you’ll be able to enjoy that with your family and friends. I look forward to hearing from you again with my stories, reviews and other items I add to my blog.

Many thanks Leigh. I hope you too had a great Christmas as well and hope you have a merry New Year in 2017.

    Thanks again. Best wishes.

    Tim. 🙂

    Hi Tim

I am glad you had a lovely Christmas and spent a good and enjoyable time with the family.

I just read the autobiography of Peter Davison, and it made me laugh when he said he didn’t like celery, and how he argued the whole time he was there for some reason why he should be wearing the celery; he felt it needed an explanation. It’s a very good read, if you get hold of a copy.

It certainly seems a long time since we saw the Doctor on tv, so it was good to see the Christmas Special.

Thank you, Tim, it has been a busy year, and I’m enjoying some time off before starting all over again!

Best wishes to you, too, Tim.

    Hi Leigh.

I’m glad you enjoyed reading Peter Davison’s autobiography. I did have a little peak through in the bookshop and read an interesting bit where he talks about Sarah Sutton and Peter Grimwade. I’m glad you enjoyed it when he talks about how he argued about why he had to wear the celery in ‘Doctor Who’. I’ll see if I can get hold of a copy of the book to read someday, perhaps when I go in the shops for a New Year’s sale.

I’m glad you’re enjoying time off over Christmas. Make sure it lasts, Leigh. 😀

    Many thanks.

    Tim. 🙂
