Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
Last weekend, my parents and I went on a little weekend break to Bath. We only stayed for one night on a Friday at a hotel, but it was lovely excuse to get away and have a break. My parents and I enjoyed the hotel we stayed at. We had an evening meal as well as doing a few walks around the area.
My parents and I had visited Bath earlier in the year, as well as Dyrham Park in June 2017. I also used Bath as the location for one of my ‘Doctor Who’ fan-fiction stories, ‘The Austen Code’ in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series. I’m certain I’ll be going to Bath again sometime soon with my parents.
Unfortunately, the day we spent in Bath on the Saturday was a little disappointing as the weather was quite bad. It rained a bit earlier in the day and we didn’t get to enjoy the things we wanted to do, since we were mostly confined to looking around the shops and have cups of tea at a few cafes.
But thankfully we did get to have a look inside Bath Abbey which we enjoyed. We also enjoyed going on the Bath City Sightseeing bus tour later in the afternoon. The weather had improved by then, but I didn’t take a lot of photos on the bus tour as it wasn’t gloriously sunny as we had hoped on the day.
Check out some of the photos I took of Bath that Saturday.
Also, I’m not kidding on this. When my parents and I arrived in Bath at the train station, there was a TARDIS-styled blue box waiting for us. I was amazed and thrilled, as I didn’t expect to see that when we arrived in Bath via train. The TARDIS was light-blue and said ‘Polite Box’ instead of ‘Police Box’. 😀
I enjoyed the weekend break with my parents in Bath. Saturday wasn’t a great day weather-wise, but I’m thankful for the get-away break. It was nice to stay overnight at a hotel and I hope my parents and I will do something like this again. It will have to be a longer break if we go back to Bath.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
