Quick Book Review – ‘Dr. Tenth Christmas Surprise!’

dr. tenth christmas surprise!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

During our family midweek break at Gunton Hall with Tony Jacobs, my parents and I visited Great Yarmouth. I had the chance to purchase the latest ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ book from WHSmith, ‘Dr. Tenth Christmas Surprise!’ This was a nice treat for me as I got to read this before Christmas arrived.

‘Dr. Tenth Christmas Surprise!’ is a special book release in the ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ book series. I reviewed the current eight book releases of ‘Doctor Who’ and the World of Hargreaves beforehand. I’m looking forward to the last four books in the series set for release in February 2018.

This book is special especially since it’s printed in hardback and has a protective sleeve cover on it. This is unique since the previous eight ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ books were published in paperback. But it was nice and I enjoyed the book itself. It felt like all the other ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ stories.

The story features the Tenth Doctor and Donna spending Christmas in the TARDIS before they go out in the snow and face some evil Snowmen and robot Santas. Is one of the evil Snowmen ‘Mr. Snow’ by any chance? 😀 And you can guess where the robot Santas came from? ‘The Christmas Invasion’!

I like the look of the Tenth Doctor and Donna in this ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ book. David Tennant’s Doctor and Donna look so cool in Mr. Men form. I found this book very funny, especially when Donna is holding her cup of hot chocolate which gets cold and she throws it at an evil Christmas tree.

‘Dr. Tenth Christmas Surprise!’ is a nice little addition to the ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ book series! I’m pleased I purchased this whilst my parents and I were in Gunton Hall this November. I’ve become a fan of these ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ books and I hope they’ll do some books for the companions.

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
