DVD review – ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I continue to revisit ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogies. Recently, I’ve revisited the second film of ‘The Hobbit’ trilogy called ‘The Desolation of Smaug’. This is through the Extended Edition of the movie and I have updated my review on it with new photos and extended paragraphs.

My Dad recently purchased the complete box set of ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogies on Blu-ray. So we carried on seeing ‘The Hobbit’ on Blu-ray rather than on DVD. By the way, ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ reviews by me are on the DVD releases, not on the Blu-rays.

But that doesn’t mean I won’t revisit ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films on Blu-ray and update my reviews as Blu-ray reviews rather than on DVD. I’ll need to check the Blu-ray contents at a future time, as they have some new content on them. But it is more the same as the DVD versions.

Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my review for ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ here.

Enjoy!

I look forward to re-watching the Extended Edition of ‘The Battle of Five Armies’ on Blu-ray next. I hope to update my review on that film soon with new photos and extended paragraphs. Interesting fact, ‘The Hobbit’ films aren’t divided up into two parts on Blu-ray as on DVD, since it is all in one go.

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
