Oh! Hey there folks! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I know we’re in the middle of June by this point, but I can’t help but look forward to July this year. For me personally, there are a number of things to look forward to. For example, I’ve just discovered it’s the 50th anniversary of ‘Dad’s Army’. And what better way to celebrate by attending the Everyman Theatre Company’s production of ‘Dad’s Army’, taking place in the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff this July…
Cuddles: “Hey, Master! Is there going to be another convention with Sarah Sutton this year? Has there be an announcement yet?”
(to Cuddles) “No, Cuddles! Nothing’s been announced yet. You’ll have to wait and be patient like me before an announcement of Sarah Sutton and Peter Davison attending another convention takes place.”
Cuddles whines and walks off.
(to audience) “Aside from waiting for convention news with Sarah Sutton and Peter Davison, I’m looking forward to seeing movies at the cinema in July. These include ‘Incredibles 2’, ‘Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!’ and ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’. I’m sure there are other films I’ve missed out.”
But that’s not why you’re here, is it? Oh no! You want to find out what my thoughts are on ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’. Is that right? Well then, welcome back everyone to the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Review Season’!
Today we return to the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ by looking into the fifth film of the series. This is of course, ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’. This is probably my favourite film out of Phase One of the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ and we’re getting steadily closer to ‘Avengers Assemble’, aren’t we?
‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ is set during the Second World War where our hero fights against Nazis and the evilness of the wicked Hydra led by the Red Skull. This film excited me as I went to see it at the cinema and got very impressed by its World War II setting. Is it that good though?
Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my new DVD review for ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ here.
Stay tuned for my review on the sixth film in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ series, ‘Avengers Assemble’, coming soon.
Bye for now!
