Basement News – October 2018

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

The 1st of October today and this is bound to be an exciting month this year! For me, ‘Doctor Who’ is returning to TV on the 7th of October and I will soon be going to ‘Destination: Star Trek Birmingham’ in a few weeks’ time. But is this all that will be happening on my blog in October 2018? I hope it won’t be!

Let’s see what else will be happening on my blog this October and beyond!

Like I said, ‘Doctor Who’ will return to TV screens on Sunday the 7th of October with Jodie Whittaker’s first season as the Thirteenth Doctor in Series 11 along with Bradley Walsh as Graham O’Brien, Tosin Cole as Ryan Sinclair and Mandip Gill as Yasmin Khan. I’m keen to see what this new series will be like.

Yesterday was the ‘3rd Anniversary to ‘Bradley’s Basement’. To celebrate, I added my new ‘Doctor Who Timelines’ for the Thirteenth Doctor era including the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yasmin. These four new timelines will be updated as Series 11 progresses on TV. I’ve also added new timelines for the Seven Keys Doctor, the Meta-Crisis Doctor and Alison who is with the Shalka Doctor.

Please note, my quick TV reviews for Series 11 are bound to be delayed when it comes to posting them on my blog. This is due to ‘Doctor Who’ being shown on Sunday evenings at 18:45 and I’m bound to miss the initial transmission of the first episode on TV. I hope to watch the episodes on BBC iPlayer and post the quick TV reviews on Monday evenings. Please no spoilers beforehand with the episodes.

Outside the new TV series coming back, I’ve recently added my reviews on the second half of Series 9 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Peter Capaldi. I’ve also added my reviews on ‘The Seeds of Doom’ and ‘The Masque of Mandragora’ with Tom Baker. I’ll soon add reviews on ‘The Mark of the Rani’, ‘The Two Doctors’, ‘Timelash’ and ‘Revelation of the Daleks’ with Colin Baker. Stay tuned for announcements.

I’ve added two new Short Trips to my blog including ‘Fred and the Doctor’ with the Sixth Doctor and ‘The Impossible Girl Returns’ with Clara Oswald. There will be some more ‘Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ stories coming to my blog very soon, but I’ll reveal more details when I get to it. I’m also preparing a special review season for the 55th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’ in November. Watch this space closely!

But of course another big highlight for me this month is me attending the ‘Destination: Star Trek Birmingham’ convention from the 19th to the 21st of October at the NEC in Birmingham. I’m looking forward to this weekend and seeing many ‘Star Trek’ stars like William Shatner; Gates McFadden; Nana Visitor; Kate Mulgrew; etc. Stay tuned for a convention report about this exciting weekend soon.

At present, I’m currently watching Season 6 of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ and reviewing each episode on my blog. Hopefully I’ll finish the ‘TNG’ series with Season 7 by the time 2018 is over. I look forward to reviewing the ‘Star Trek’ reboot movie trilogy soon with a certain Timelord! Stay tuned! 😀

The ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Review 2’ is already underway as I’ve posted my review on ‘Iron Man 3’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. Next up is my review on ‘Thor: The Dark World’. Stay tuned for my later reviews on ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ and the rest in Phase 2 of the ‘MCU’ film series.

I’ve added a new page and new reviews on ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ series, starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum. I’ve also added a new review on the Disney film, ‘Pete’s Dragon’ from 1977. Stay tuned for any announcements or reviews that maybe ‘Batman’ and ‘Spider-Man’ related in the future.

Check out my latest holiday report in Amroth for September 2018 this year! I’ve also shared my latest ‘Convention Memories’ post on ‘Regenerations 2010’, September 2010. This coming November, I hope to see a theatre performance of ‘Blackadder Goes Forth’ in Cardiff. Stay tuned for a review on it.

In terms of movies at the cinema this month, I’ll be shortly seeing ‘Venom’ and ‘Johnny English Strikes Again’ which I’m looking forward to. Stay tuned for quick movie reviews on these. I also look forward to seeing ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’, ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ and ‘Aquaman’ later this year as well as seeing a limited re-release of ‘Home Alone 2: Lost In New York’ in December 2018.

Well that’s about it for ‘Basement News’ this month. 2018 has been a challenging year for me so far. I hope things be good this October as I look forward to seeing the new ‘Doctor Who’ series with Jodie Whittaker and enjoy attending ‘Destination: Star Trek Birmingham’ this month. Keep watch on this space!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
