Basement News – November 2018

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My goodness! 2018 is nearly coming to an end! What have I been doing this year?! 😀 It’s the 1st of November today, and yes, the first post was the beginning of a celebration season of ‘Doctor Who’ reviews for its 55th anniversary. I’ll get into that more in a bit, but what new updates do you need to know for November?

Well, let’s find out what’s happening on my blog in November and beyond!

First things first, unless you’re used to it by now, you’ll probably know that there will be no ‘Basement News’ blog post for December 2018. This will be replaced by my ‘Advent Calendar’ for 2018 in the lead-up to Christmas. This year’s Advent Calendar will be in the form of photo memories of my December/Christmas from 2008. I will make up for any new updates in a blog post that proceeds that.

So like I said, we’re beginning a new review season of ‘Doctor Who’ to celebrate 55 years of the show. This will last from the 1st to the 23rd of November and will look at a story of each of the fourteen TV incarnations of the Doctor; as well as some alternative Doctors and an extra special multi-Doctor story.

The latest ‘Doctor Who’ TV series with Jodie Whittaker, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill is currently underway and I’m loving it so far. Check out my latest reviews on ‘The Woman Who Fell To Earth’, ‘The Ghost Monument’, ‘Rosa’ and ‘Arachnids In The UK’ on my blog to check out my thoughts.

I’ve recently added my reviews on ‘The Mark of the Rani’, ‘The Two Doctors’, ‘Timelash’ and ‘Revelation of the Daleks’ with Colin Baker. I have in mind to add a new ‘Doctor Who’ review on the 2015 Christmas Special, ‘The Husbands of River Song’ with Peter Capaldi and Alex Kingston very soon.

In terms of ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series on my blog, this month will see the release of a short two-part story called ‘Time Burp’. Next month will see the release of the third ‘Merry Christmas From The Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ story, ‘Cuddles’. There will also be a brand-new four-part story starting in January 2019 called ‘City of Monsters’, featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Billy and Jo Jones.

The ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Review Season 2’ should now be completed as I’ve added all of my reviews in Phase 2 of the ‘MCU’ film series. These include ‘Iron Man 3’, ‘Thor: The Dark World’, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ and ‘Ant-Man’. I hope to review Phase 3 – Part 1 of the ‘MCU’ film series sometime soon in the middle of 2019.

There will be a new ‘Peter Pan’-related review soon to be posted on my blog later this month. In December, as well as my ‘Advent Calendar’ for 2018, there will also be four Christmas-related reviews for people to enjoy. Can you guess what they are? Stay tuned for news announcements on the reviews.

Check out my latest movie review on ‘Venom’ and ‘Johnny English Strikes Again’ as well as my latest convention report on ‘Destination Star Trek Birmingham 2018’. In terms of movies at the cinema this month, I hope to be seeing ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ soon. Stay tuned for my review. I’ve also reviewed all of the episodes in Series 1 of the ‘Dad’s Army’ radio series for people to check out.

That’s all I have to say in ‘Basement News’ for this month. I’m sure I’ve missed something out. Again, I will make up for the absence of a ‘Basement News’ blog post in December at the end of the month when announcing the new ‘Advent Calendar’. Keep watching this space for news updates and details.

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
