Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s Day 6 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2018’.
It’s a place I’ve talked and visited many times before, so here’s a photo memory of it.
This photo memory is of me standing outside the West Cornwall Pasty Co. café/restaurant in Bath in December 2008. In fact, I believe it was on Friday the 6th when it happened. I have fond memories of Bath and I’m glad I visited the place with my parents back in 2008 before Christmas time occurred.
I recall the day well. My parents and I woke up early in the morning to drive down to Bath from Cardiff. I also recall listening to the ‘Doctor Who’ audio story, ‘Creatures of Beauty’, for the first time from beginning to end. It was a scary experience and I listened to the complete adventure on audio.
There were delays on the journey from Cardiff to Bath to allow me the opportunity to listen to ‘Creatures of Beauty’ all the way through. The public car park was empty by the time my parents and I arrived in Bath and we very soon had a Cornish pasty breakfast at the West Cornwall Pasty Co. café.
I’m pretty sure we did quite a bit of shopping whilst my parents and I were in Bath. I recall wearing a Frank Sinatra-type hat that my Dad wanted me to try on when we were at a clothes shop. I also recall purchasing the latest issue of ‘Doctor Who Magazine’ with a preview of ‘The Next Doctor’ in it.
Later that afternoon, we left Bath to meet up with my Nana in Newport for the evening. I enjoyed that day trip to Bath very much. Bath means a lot to me, especially since I wrote my ‘Doctor Who’ fan-fiction story called ‘The Austen Code’ in my ‘Fifth Doctor’ series. Will I ever visit Bath again soon?
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
