Day 7 – ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2018

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Day 7 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2018.

This photo memory is on a Christmas movie I’ve already talked about on my blog.

Here is me taking a photo of the ‘Holiday Inn’ DVD my parents and I had back in December 2008. Things have changed since then and we’ve got a more updated DVD version of the movie. On the new DVD, we have two versions. There is a black-and-white version of the film and a colour version.

The DVD you see here in this photo only contains the black-and-white version of ‘Holiday Inn’. I love seeing this film whenever at Christmas. It’s one of Dad’s favourites too, since he loves nostalgic jazzy musicals featuring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire as they appear in this heartwarming entertainment.

I’m reminded of a time when my Nana came to our house once and my Dad showed the film ‘Holiday Inn’ on DVD to her. He also showed her the DVD special features including behind-the-scenes interviews with Fred Astaire’s daughter, Ava Astaire-McKenzie, who shares about her father.

Last year in 2017, I posted my review on ‘Holiday Inn’, sharing my thoughts on why I like this film. You can still check out it on my blog by clicking on the link for it. I’ve also uploaded some more Christmas reviews on my blog and I’m currently releasing four Christmas film reviews this month.

I hope to continue this tradition of releasing four Christmas film reviews each year for people to enjoy whilst I add new advent calendars to my blog. ‘Holiday Inn’ is definitely a film that should be seen around Christmas time. I only hope one day that a limited release of the film will be at cinemas. 😀

Thanks for reading!

Check out what my Day 7 of my ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar for 2015, 2016 and 2017 were about!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
