Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s Day 23 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2018’.
Do you like Christmas lights? Have you ever seen a house full of them on the outside?
I took this photo of a house full of Christmas lights and decorations on the walk from Cardiff town to home with me and my parents. Every year, there’s this house that looks amazing at night-time with so many Christmas lights on it. It almost makes it appear like Santa’s Grotto in the place that I live in.
You can pick out various recognisable Christmas light shapes on that house. There’s a ladder with Santa climbing; there are some snowmen; more Santas; a Christmas stocking, etc. The picture quality in this photo isn’t very good I will admit, but it was dark that night as my parents and I walked home.
Let me share with you my thoughts on seeing Christmas lights at night. I do like seeing them. I don’t think we get them enough in the UK as others do in America, but it’s always nice to see Christmas lights on houses and when going into town. It does make you feel all Christmassy and bubbly inside yourself.
The Christmas decorations we put up every year are mainly limited inside the house. We don’t tend to put Christmas lights on the outside of the house. Although I do put up a stream of Christmas lights on the big window on the balcony in the house in order for people to see some part of the house lit up.
At this point, I’ve put up the Christmas tree and decorations about the house already. It won’t look anything as shiny and pretty as other houses with their Christmas decorations inside and outside. When I’m in the car with my parents, I always enjoy spotting what houses have Christmas lights on.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
