News Update – ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ (December 2018)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s been a while since I did a news update regarding my ‘Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ fan-fiction series of ‘Doctor Who’ stories. For those of you who like reading my ‘Doctor Who’ stories, you may be wondering what will be happening with this Fifth Doctor series regarding new stories released in 2019.

Well, let’s take a look. First off, there sadly won’t be a new season of stories featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy. Unfortunately, my plans to upload a new trilogy of ‘Doctor Who’ stories onto my blog have gone out of the window. I’ve been really busy regarding adding my ‘Doctor Who’ reviews in 2018.

So instead, there will be one ‘Doctor Who’ story for now featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy called ‘City of Monsters’. This will be a four-part story where the Doctor, Nyssa and Billy reunite with Jo Jones née Grant and confront terrifying monsters like Autons, Drashigs, Ogrons, robots and dinosaurs.

Because I’m posting one ‘Doctor Who’ story in this series for now and I’m currently delayed with uploading my story onto my blog, I’ve decided not to release the four-parter in January 2019 as originally planned. Instead this story will be released around April time and during the Easter season.

In the months of January, February and March before the release of ‘City of Monsters’, I’ll be adding blog posts to advertise my other ‘Fifth Doctor’ stories. This is to keep anyone in the know as to what has gone on before with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy before they reunite with Jo in ‘City of Monsters’.

In terms of what happens after ‘City of Monsters’, I can’t say for certain yet. There will be new stories for ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series in 2020, but before that there’s nothing definite. I’d like to write a brand-new story to make up for the lack of a season this year, possibly around Christmas 2019.

Not sure if it’ll be a four-part story or a special adventure in the style of one of the new series Christmas Specials of ‘Doctor Who’. One thing’s for certain, the fourth episode of ‘Merry Christmas From The Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ won’t be released in December 2019. That’s an episode for another occasion.

Failing a special brand-new ‘Doctor Who’ story with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy at around Christmas time in 2019, I hope to add two new ‘Short Trips’ to my blog. Whether it’d be two short stories featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy or just one is uncertain at this stage. Please stay tuned.

I can share a little with you on what I hope to add to my blog at around 2020 regarding ‘Doctor Who’ fan-fiction stories. I’ll be adding a new series of stories featuring all of the TV incarnations of the Doctor from the First to the Thirteenth and including the War Doctor at this point. This series will be called ‘Zorbius’.

I also hope to add two new Fifth Doctor stories in 2020. The first one will be an eight episode anthology story in the style of ‘Circular Time’, ‘The Demons of Red Lodge and Other Stories’ and ‘1001 Nights’. The eight episode anthology story will be called ‘The Coins of Deno’ and will see our heroes on a quest.

The second story for 2020 with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy will be a Christmas Special in the style of one of the new series Christmas Specials and one of the subscribers’ specials from Big Finish in ‘Doctor Who’. This will be called ‘Return To Christmas’ and it will feature our heroes face an old enemy.

I’m saddened I’m not able to add more ‘Fifth Doctor’ stories to my blog for 2019. But I’m hopeful there’ll be some nice surprises with regards to the series in the New Year. In the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy ‘City of Monsters’ when it comes out and hopefully there’ll be special surprise stories whether it will be a full-length four-part tale or two short stories featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy.

Please feel free to check out my current ‘Fifth Doctor’ stories and ‘Short Trips’ on my blog in the meantime.

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
