Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
Yesterday, we began this month of February with a snowfall in Cardiff as well as many parts of the UK and possibly the world. I’m glad there wasn’t a snowfall when I went away last weekend to Leicester. We’ve had it earlier this year in February compared to March last year and the snow wasn’t so heavy yesterday. Check out my snow photos of Llandaff Cathedral as well as the playing field from yesterday.
Wow! January was a pretty exciting month for me! I’m having a good time this year with seeing movies at the cinema and attending a convention recently. I’m looking forward to what’s to come for the rest of the year. But I should hold back and give you the preview of what’s to come on ‘Bradley’s Basement’.
So without further ado, here’s a sneak preview of what’s to come in February 2019 and beyond!
In terms of ‘Doctor Who’ reviews, I’ve shared my updated reviews on both Season 12 and Season 19 Blu-ray box sets with Tom Baker and Peter Davison. I’ve also shared my reviews on the first half of Series 10 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Peter Capaldi. I hope to share my reviews on the second half of Series 10 sometime this month as well as share new reviews on Series 11 with Jodie Whittaker later in 2019. I’ve also added my reviews on ‘Inferno’ and ‘The Mind of Evil’ with Jon Pertwee’s Doctor recently. Very soon, my review on ‘Resurrection of the Daleks’ with Peter Davison will be on my blog.
I’ve also got an agenda to make a start on reviewing the ‘Star Cops’ series this month. This will include reviewing the short-lived TV series as well as the Big Finish audios, including one episode guest starring Sarah Sutton in it. I’ve been meaning to do this for quite some time and hopefully I can get onto it soon.
I’m still in the process of getting ‘City of Monsters’ in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series up and running on my blog. I’m halfway there but hopefully it should be up at around March/April time in 2019. I also have in mind to write a Thirteenth Doctor era story for my ‘Short Trips’ collection on my blog.
In the meantime, I’m currently re-sharing my ‘Fifth Doctor’ stories on my blog, including ‘The Railway of Time’, ‘The Space Hotel’, ‘Doom of the Daleks’ and ‘The Tree of Riverloth’ as well as the first ‘Merry Christmas From The Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ episode called ‘The Ghost of Leckwick’. Please feel free to check these stories out in the build-up before ‘City of Monsters’ gets released on my blog.
I’ve finished my Disney film review season in January with a look into four animated films including ‘Lady and the Tramp’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Sleeping Beauty’. This year, I’m looking forward to completing my reviews on Season 7 of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ as well as making a start on reviewing the ‘Star Trek’ reboot trilogy with a certain Time Lord on my blog. Stay tuned!
Check out my latest reviews on movies at the cinema including ‘Bumblebee’, ‘Stan & Ollie’ and ‘Mary Queen of Scots’. This month, I’m looking forward to seeing ‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ at the cinema. Stay tuned! Also check out my DVD box set review on Series 1 of ‘Blake’s 7’.
Just recently, I attended the ‘Science of the Time Lords 2019’ event at the National Space Centre in Leciester at the end of January. I really enjoyed it. Check out my convention report for that. I’m currently looking forward to attending the ‘London Comic Con Spring’ and the ‘Film and Comic Con Cardiff’ in March next.
Here’s a reminder to let you know that ‘The Gospel of Mark’ blog post series is currently underway and will continue to be posted on Sundays in the build-up to Easter time. Please feel free to check out my blog posts on the Gospel of Mark so far with summaries of Chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the biblical story of Jesus Christ.
My parents and I are currently watching Series 8 of ‘Call the Midwife’ via BBC iPlayer and Series 4 of ‘Grantchester’ via ITV Hub on Sunday nights. Please feel free to check out my thoughts on Episodes 1, 2 and 3 in Series 8 of ‘Call the Midwife’ and Episodes 1, 2 and 3 in Series 4 of ‘Grantchester’. Stay tuned for more reviews on the rest of these two TV shows later in the year.
Starting tonight, I hope to begin watching the documentary TV series ‘Great British Car Journeys’ (formerly known as ‘Vintage Roads Great and Small’) with Peter Davison and Christopher Timothy on Channel 4. Stay tuned for my quick reviews on each of the three episodes of this documentary series.
That’s all for now with regards news and a preview for my ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog in February 2019 and beyond. Watch this space for further news. So far, 2019 has been an exciting year. I hope more exciting things will come this year, especially with regards conventions to attend and movies to see at the cinema.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
