Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s the 1st of March today and I’m really excited because I’m about to go off and enjoy a weekend at the ‘London Comic Con Spring’. The weekend after that, I’ll also be going to the ‘Film and Comic Con Cardiff’. Both comic cons will feature Sarah Sutton as one of the guests. I couldn’t ask for nicer, exciting weekends. Anyway, it is time to give the info on what’s happening in March and beyond on ‘BB’.
Regarding ‘Doctor Who’ reviews, I’ve shared my reviews on the second half of Series 10 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Peter Capaldi. Very soon, I hope to share my reviews on Series 11 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jodie Whittaker. I have the Blu-rays for Series 11 and ‘Resolution’ already. Check out my latest reviews on ‘Resurrection of the Daleks’ with Peter Davison as well as on ‘Dr. Second’ in the ‘Dr. Who’/’Mr. Men’ book series. I also have in mind to add new ‘Doctor Who Timelines’ for a few Eighth Doctor companions, but we’ll get to that sometime soon.
I’ve been watching the short-lived ‘Star Cops’ TV series on DVD in February and am now on the final episode. I hope I’ll add my reviews on the TV episodes soon to my blog before I get onto listening and reviewing the Big Finish audios. I hope it’ll be soon as I’ve been looking forward to hearing the episode guest starring Sarah Sutton in it. Hopefully, I will enjoy the Big Finish audios of ‘Star Cops’. 😀
My new upcoming story in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series called ‘City of Monsters’ will be up on my blog around Easter time in April time. This will feature the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy reuniting with Jo Jones nee Grant as they come up against Drashigs, Ogrons and Autons. Stay tuned!
I’ve been currently re-sharing my ‘Fifth Doctor’ stories on my blog this year. In February, I re-shared ‘The Austen Code’, ‘Junglos 4198’, ‘Chieftain’s Caves’ and ‘Dawn of the Dwaxi’ as well as the Short Trips, ‘The Victorian Vampires’ and ‘The Five Doctors At Christmas’; the second ‘Merry Christmas From The Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ episode called ‘The Pantomime of Death’ and the special story, ‘The Robots of Lonmar’. This is in readiness in the build-up before the release of ‘City of Monsters’.
In February, I completed my reviews on Season 7 of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ on my blog. I’ve also made a start on reviewing the ‘Star Trek’ reboot trilogy with Timelord007. We’ve done the ‘Star Trek’ 2009 film and ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’. Next week will be on the third film, ‘Star Trek Beyond’.
Check out my latest reviews on movies at the cinema including ‘The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part’ and ‘The Kid Who Would Be King’. I’m looking forward to seeing ‘Captain Marvel’ at the cinema as well as ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ later in the year. Whether I’ll see the Disney live-action versions of ‘Dumbo’, ‘Aladdin’ or ‘The Lion King’ at the cinema is another matter.
Here’s another reminder to let you know that ‘The Gospel of Mark’ blog post series is currently underway and will continue to be posted on Sundays in the build-up to Easter time. Please feel free to check out my blog posts on the Gospel of Mark so far with summaries of Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in the biblical story of Jesus Christ.
My parents and I are still watching Series 8 of ‘Call the Midwife’ via BBC iPlayer as we’ve seen Episodes 4, 5, 6 and 7 in February. The 2019 series is coming to an end soon as it’ll be the last episode, Episode 8, next Sunday. Stay tuned for my thoughts on the season finale when we get to it.
Meanwhile my parents and I have finished Series 4 of ‘Grantchester’, watching Episodes 4, 5 and 6 in February. I’ve enjoyed ‘Grantchester’ very much this year in Series 4 via ITV Hub. I hope to catch-up on the other seasons in ‘Grantchester’ as well as in ‘Call the Midwife’ sometime soon in the near future.
In February, I saw the documentary TV series ‘Great British Car Journeys’ starring Peter Davison and Christopher Timothy from ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ on Channel 4. I really enjoyed that three-episode documentary series and the reviews on the episodes are available to check out on my blog. Also check out my musical presentation summary blog post on ‘Tim’s Musical Movie Evening’.
That’s enough on a preview for what’s happening on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ in March and beyond and what’s been happening on my blog in February. Please feel free to check out the stuff on my blog and stay tuned for my convention reports on ‘London Comic Con Spring’ and ‘Film and Comic Con Cardiff’. I’m looking forward to attending those conventions as well as seeing movies at the cinema.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
