DVD Review – ‘Captain America: Civil War’

The office is empty at first. Tim then enters with the ‘Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe – Phase Three: Part One’ DVD box set in his hand. He puts it on a nearby desk table and sighs happily before he sits down at the computer. He’s ready to type away.

“Right!” (clears throat; to audience) “Are we ready? Then let’s begin!”

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So yeah, we’re still in July and things are pretty busy. Lots to do, what with a ‘Fifth Doctor’ story I’m currently writing; me preparing for a convention I’m going to in August; having the new series ‘Doctor Who’ marathon on-going on my blog and looking forward to a weekend away where I hope to see the live-action remake of ‘The Lion King’ at the cinema. Things are quite busy at the moment.

But that shouldn’t stop me enjoying what I do on my blog with reviews and everything. And as I’m starting a new set of reviews on my blog, it’s time for me to come full circle with a movie series that I’ve enjoyed. So, welcome everyone to this year’s ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Review Season’!

Yeah, I decided not to call this the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Review Season 3’ since the current phase we’re going through is divided into two halves. I’m currently looking at the first half of Phase Three. ‘Phase Three: Part Two’ won’t be out on DVD and Blu-ray until later in 2019, hopefully before Christmas.

With that said, let’s take a look at the first film of Phase Three of the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ film series called ‘Captain America: Civil War’. The film stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen and Daniel Brühl. This is an updated version of my review since I first saw it back in May 2016.

Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my new DVD review for ‘Captain America: Civil War’ here.

Enjoy!

Stay tuned for my review on the next film in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ series, ‘Doctor Strange’, coming soon.

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
