Basement News – September 2019

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s that time again for a brand-new ‘Basement News’ blog post to start off the month of September this year! I greatly enjoyed August! I currently miss that month as I had an enjoyable time going to the ‘Film & Comic Con Glasgow’ recently. Hopefully there’ll be new things to look forward to in September and beyond.

Like I said, I had a lovely time seeing people like Sarah Sutton and Sophie Aldred at the recent Glasgow film and comic con this year. I don’t know where and when the next convention will be. I hope it’ll be soon. Meanwhile, I’m preparing the 4th anniversary celebrations of my blog this year at the end of September. Sarah and Sophie have helped me out with these celebrations. Stay tuned! 🙂

The ‘Doctor Who’ marathon continues in September as we’re now in Peter Capaldi territory. So far, we’re in Series 8 and today I’ve shared my review on ‘Mummy on the Orient Express’. The rest of September will focus on Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker’s Doctors, with October finishing on the Thirteenth Doctor’s latest episode ‘Resolution’.

I’ve made a start on updating my reviews for the Season 10 stories of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jon Pertwee via the latest Blu-ray box set release. I also hope to update my reviews on Season 23 (‘The Trial of a Time Lord’) with Colin Baker when the Blu-ray box set for that comes out this month. It’s likely my updated reviews for Season 10 and Season 23 of ‘Doctor Who’ will be shared on my blog after the ‘Doctor Who’ marathon ends in October.

Just to remind you, my latest ‘Fifth Doctor’ story with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy called ‘The Prime Factor’ has been completed. It will likely be released sometime in November/December time. I’m currently about to make a start on some ‘Doctor Who’ short stories both for my blog and not for my blog. 😀

I’ve reviewed the ‘Doctor Who’ book with audiobook called ‘The Silent Stars Go By’ with the Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory. I’m currently reading the movie novelization of ‘Batman Returns’. I hope to finish that book this month before I get onto reading the movie novelization of ‘Batman & Robin’ as well as ‘Spider-Man: Hostile Takeover’, the prequel novel to the PS4 game. Check out my latest thoughts on ‘The Future of Spider-Man and the ‘MCU’.

I’ve completed my reviews on Phase Three: Part One of the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ series. My latest reviews in this box set include ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Thor: Ragnarok’. I’m currently re-watching ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films and updating my current DVD reviews into Blu-ray reviews.

Check out my latest quick DVD reviews on ‘Blake’s 7’ (Series 3); ’10 Cloverfield Lane’ and the first ‘Deadpool’ movie. Also check out my latest day trip report on the ‘Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.’ exhibit in Cardiff. I’ve also reviewed Series 5 of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ recently. For September, I hope to do a new ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ review on ‘Dr. Fourth’ as well as share my convention memories on ‘Regenerations 2011’ soon.

I don’t know what else there is to look forward to in September, but I’m sure it’ll come as a surprise. The highlight for this month will definitely be at the end where I’ll be celebrating 4 years of my blog. I’m looking forward to how I celebrate my blog’s 4th anniversary with help from two ‘Doctor Who’ companions. I hope you’ll enjoy more of my blog for the rest of this month and beyond!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
