That’s both K-9 and John Leeson who does the voice for him by the way. 😀 I first met John Leeson at the ‘London Film & Comic Con’ in July 2011. I had a great time meeting John for the first time. He was easy to chat to and he signed a K-9 photo for me. I also had a photo with him and K-9 at that event. 😀

John Leeson voiced K-9 in the ‘Doctor Who’ TV series and Big Finish audios as well as ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’. I’ve enjoyed sharing with John how much I’ve enjoyed K-9 in the TV series and the audios. He always comes across as kind and enthusiastic whenever I see him at conventions, sharing great anecdotes.

The other times I’ve seen John at conventions include the ‘Regenerations 2011’ convention in Swansea, September 2011; the ‘Project Motor Mouth 2’ event in Slough, August 2013; the ‘Timey Wimey 1’ convention in Brighton, November 2014; the ‘Bournemouth Film & Comic Con’ in August 2015 and the ‘London Film & Comic Con’ in July 2017. They’ve all been really good times to see John Leeson!

John has also signed a number of items for me at conventions over the years. This includes the CD covers for ‘The Sands of Life’; the ‘Shada’ novelization audiobook and the 2003 Big Finish audio version of ‘Shada’ with Paul McGann. John has also signed my copy of ‘Novel Adaptations, Volume 2’ featuring ‘The Well-Mannered War’. I’ve greatly enjoyed hearing John voice for K-9 in those audio productions. 😀

Meeting John Leeson in real-life has been a treat for me. Who would’ve thought that after seeing K-9 for the first time in ‘School Reunion’ to watching him in ‘The Key to Time’ season with Tom Baker’s Doctor and Mary Tamm’s Romana, I would actually meet the man who voices the little robot dog in the ‘Doctor Who’ universe’? I’ve also written for K-9 in my Short Trip called ‘Foundations of Life’. 😀
