Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
Sadly, 2020 is turning out to be a rubbish year this year. What with the coronavirus pandemic happening in the world – please keep safe – and having conventions and movies at cinemas being cancelled because of it, my hopes for 2020 to be a good start to the 2020s seem to be really swayed.
Am I going to let this stop me enjoying what I do on my blog? No! Despite the pandemic happening, I’m still going to enjoy Easter in April this year. Hopefully there’ll be plenty of surprises to enjoy in the upcoming month and beyond. I’ve already shared my April Fools video for 2020 on YouTube! 😀
Regarding the ‘Zorbius’ series of ‘Doctor Who’ by me, I’ve added ‘The Zondor Robbers’, ‘The Deepening Rain’ and ‘The Matter of Reality’ so far. This month, I’ll be adding ‘The Hunters of Doom’ with the Fourth Doctor, Leela and K-9. For May, I’ll be adding ‘The Mirror of Memory’ with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy and for June, I’ll be adding ‘The End Dilemma’ with the Sixth Doctor and Peri. I’m in the process of adding ‘The Game of Delta’ with the Seventh Doctor and Ace for July. 🙂
In March, I’ve been sharing my updated Blu-ray reviews on Season 26 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred, including on the stories ‘Battlefield’, ‘Ghost Light’, ‘The Curse of Fenric’ and ‘Survival’. I’m hoping the Season 14 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker, Elisabeth Sladen and Louise Jameson will be released soon in May this year. Hopefully in time for my birthday. I’ve also shared my updated review on ‘The Faceless Ones’, now on DVD/Blu-ray with animated episodes as well as the original ‘Episodes 1 and 3’. I’ve also shared my final thoughts on Series 12 of ‘Doctor Who’.
In terms of books, I’ve shared my latest novelization/audiobook reviews on the Target novelizations of ‘Survival’ by Rona Munro and of ‘The Chase’ by John Peel. I’m currently reading/hearing Sophie Aldred’s new ‘Doctor Who’ book ‘At Childhood’s End’. I’m currently enjoying it and hope to review it soon.
I’m pleased I purchased Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’ from the ‘Doctor Who Returns’ sale to tie in with Series 12 on TV before the coronavirus pandemic happened. I’ll be sharing reviews on Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’ each week to keep people’s spirits up. The latest reviews I’ve shared on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ are for Big Finish audios like ‘Nocturne’, ‘The Dalek Occupation of Winter’ and ‘Domain of the Voord’. Stay tuned for more Big Finish reviews coming soon to my blog. I’ve also added a new photo featuring the cast of the audio adaptation of ‘Cold Fusion’ by Big Finish to cheer people up.
After seeing Series 9 of ‘Call the Midwife’ this year, my parents and I got started on watching the ‘Call the Midwife’ series from the beginning with Series 1. I’ve created a new page on ‘Call the Midwife’ and my parents and I will be watching an episode each Saturday. Hopefully my reviews on Series 1 will be up soon on my blog.
I’ve shared my latest reviews on Series 1 of ‘The Brittas Empire’ and am currently enjoying Series 2 of the comedy series. I’ve also finished adding my reviews on Season 2 of ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’ and am underway with Season 3.
Sadly, I can’t see movies at the cinema this month. I hoped to see ‘Peter Rabbit 2’ and the James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’ in March/April, but those have been rescheduled for a later date. I did see ‘The Call of the Wild’ with Harrison Ford recently at the cinema and saw the cartoon films ‘Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring’ and ‘Tom and Jerry: Blast Off to Mars’ on DVD.
March was a bit of a ‘Spider-Month’ this year! 😀 I’ve shared my latest ‘Spider-Man’ reviews on the movie ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’, the ‘Spider-Man’ PS4 game and its DLC extra three-part story ‘Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps’. I’ve enjoyed the ‘Spider-Man’ PS4 game stuff very much since I watched it on YouTube. I’ll be sharing more ‘Spider-Man’-related reviews very soon.
My parents and I are also currently watching the 10-film DVD box set collection of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. My reviews for these movies will be available around May time. These are musical comedy films including ‘Swing Time’, ‘The Gay Divorcee’, ‘Shall We Dance’, ‘Top Hat’, ‘Carefree’, etc.
In terms of what’s coming this Easter, I’ll be sharing a special Good Friday post which will feature a review on a very special movie that’s personally uplifting for me. There’ll also be an Easter Sunday post as well as an Easter review season for the BBV sci-fi drama series called ‘The Stranger’ starring Colin Baker.
Things do seem bleak regarding the coronavirus situation, especially in how the news presents it. But I hope there’ll be a light at the end of the tunnel where we’ll survive this. I pray to everyone who’s been following my blog to keep safe and healthy. I also pray for many of my family and friends as well as many ‘Doctor Who’ stars including Sarah Sutton; Peter Davison; Colin Baker; Sophie Aldred; etc. Hopefully this pandemic will end very soon. And when it does, we’ll be very strong for it indeed.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported my blog!
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
