Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I’m sure many of you are getting fed up of this current pandemic we’re going through – please keep safe. But hopefully, things are getting better than when they were before once it all started. I still missing going to conventions and seeing new movies at the cinema, but I’m looking forward to a brighter future.
In the meantime, let’s find out how I can keep you entertained with the things I’ve got planned to share on my ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog. There are certain reviews on ‘Doctor Who’ stories and movies I’ve got scheduled to share in August and for the rest of the year. Let’s have a preview for what’s to come on ‘BB’ for August and beyond! 🙂
In July, I shared my latest ‘Doctor Who: Zorbius’ story called ‘The Game of Delta’ with the Seventh Doctor and Ace. This month, I’ll be sharing two stories from the ‘Zorbius’ series, including ‘The Infinity Planet’ with the Eighth Doctor and Jen and ‘The Nightmare of the Warrior’ with the War Doctor. In September, I’ll be sharing ‘The Child of Death’ with the Ninth Doctor. I’m currently uploading the next story after that called ‘The Forest of Magicians’ with the Tenth Doctor, which I hope will be ready by October.
At last, I’ve shared my latest updated reviews on the Season 14 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker. These include updated reviews on ‘The Masque of Mandragora’, ‘The Hand of Fear’, ‘The Deadly Assassin’, ‘The Face of Evil’, ‘The Robots of Death’ and ‘The Talons of Weng-Chiang’. I’ve also seen and done a quick review on ‘The Doctors: The Sylvester McCoy Years’ DVD. Please feel free to check out those reviews. At this point, I’m slowly working my way to getting full-length reviews done on the Series 12 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jodie Whittaker. Stay tuned for news.
In terms of the Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’ I’ve heard recently, I’ve reviewed ‘The Psychic Circus’ with the Seventh Doctor as well as ‘Zagreus’ and ‘The Further Adventures of Lucie Miller’ (including ‘The Dalek Trap’, ‘The Revolution Game’, ‘The House on the Edge of Chaos’ and ‘Island of the Fendahl’) with the Eighth Doctor. I’ll soon be sharing reviews on ‘The Kingmaker’ and ‘The Churchill Years’ – Volume 1 in August. I’ve also added a new photo of Sarah Sutton and Sacha Dhawan to my review on ‘Ghost Walk’ by Big Finish to cheer people up.
Speaking of which, I’ve recently done a quick review on the last Short Trip audio ‘Downward Spiral’, starring Sarah Sutton. I’ve also received my two CD box sets for the ‘Timeslip’ series, featuring Sarah Sutton. I’m looking forward to checking out the ‘Timeslip’ TV series and the audios soon as well as doing some reviews for the upcoming ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season in December 2020. Stay tuned!
In terms of the movies I’ve reviewed on my blog, I’ve started sharing reviews on Phase Three: Part Two of the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ with the first two being on ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. With ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, I reviewed that movie with Timelord007, Whiskeybrewer and Wolfie. There’ll be reviews on ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’, ‘Captain Marvel’, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ coming soon to my blog. Stay tuned for when those reviews come out.
For August, I’m currently watching ‘The Bing Crosby Collection’ of movies on DVD. My reviews for these movies – of which there are 8 of them – will be shared on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ sometime soon in September. Cinemas will re-open close to where I live in Cardiff around next week, but whether I’ll see a movie at the cinema is another matter. Stay tuned.
I’ve also done quick reviews on movies like ‘LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite’; ‘Scoob!’ and ‘A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood’ with Tom Hanks. I’ve also seen and done a quick review on the new ‘Alex Rider’ TV series, which is currently available on Amazon Prime Video.
I’m continuing to enjoy watching the ‘Grantchester’ series on DVD and have shared quick TV episode reviews on Series 1, Episode 3; Series 1, Episode 4; Series 1, Episode 5; Series 1, Episode 6 and Series 2, Episode 1. I’ve reviewed all 26 episodes of ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’ – Season 4 and I’m currently enjoying and reviewing Season 5 at the moment. I’ve also reviewed all 6 episodes of ‘The Brittas Empire’ – Series 4 and have done a quick review on the complete collector’s edition of ‘Tom and Jerry’ – Volumes 1-6.
Whilst going to conventions isn’t an option at the moment, I have shared my recent ‘convention memories’ blog post which is on the ‘Stars of Time’ convention in Weston-super-Mare back in July 2012, where I saw Sarah Sutton, Colin Baker and Frazer Hines there. I hope to share more ‘convention memories’ blog posts soon.
I’m currently preparing things for the blog’s 5th anniversary at the end of September. There will be a special anniversary blog post on the 30th of September, but there’ll also be a special celebration blog-a-thon, which will feature blog posts containing links to my favourite reviews throughout the day in the build-up to the blog’s 5th anniversary. More details will be revealed soon, so stay tuned.
There are lots of things I’m looking forward to with sharing certain thoughts and insights on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. It helps me to keep being optimistic during these difficult times. I wish I can go to a convention and see Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison and Sophie Aldred again, but I hope and pray they’re doing okay. I also hope and pray that everyone else who’s currently following my blog is doing okay in the world. Keep watching this space as more things will be shared on my blog in the coming months.
I hope you’ll continue to enjoy ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog whilst I continue to keep sharing reviews on various things that I like and don’t like. Please keep safe and stay healthy wherever you are.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported my blog!
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
