Chadwick Boseman – 1976-2020

Hello everyone 😦

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I’m absolutely shocked and upset to hear the news that Chadwick Boseman has passed away. I didn’t see this coming. Not many people saw this coming. I had no idea the actor who played Black Panther/King T’Challa in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ had been fighting colon cancer for 4 years.

It was a very unpleasant thing to wake up to on a Saturday morning. So sad that the king is dead! I was really looking forward to seeing ‘Black Panther 2’ at the cinema. 😦 Chadwick Boseman will be greatly missed as he owned the character of the Black Panther so perfectly in the ‘MCU’ films he did.

Chadwick Boseman made his debut as Black Panther in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ back in 2016. I’ve seen all of Chadwick’s performances as Black Panther at the cinema and this year I shared new reviews on ‘Black Panther’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ where he played the character. The ‘Black Panther’ film is greatly loved by Chadwick Boseman fans as well as Black Panther fans. 🙂

The film is a great tribute to Chadwick Boseman as an actor and I’ve no doubt many will be devastated by the news that he’s no longer with us. I know I certainly am. Recently, he starred in the movie ’21 Bridges’ which was released at cinemas in November 2019. I might check out that movie sometime to honour the actor’s memory.

I will soon be watching the movie ‘Black Panther’ again on Blu-ray to commemorate the actor who played the character. It’s so upsetting to hear the news that one of the best actors in the ‘MCU’ series has been taken from us so suddenly. Rest in peace, Chadwick! No-one will ever forget you.

Wakanda forever!

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family and friends of Chadwick Boseman.

Thanks for reading everyone.

Bye for now.

This is an awful kick in the guts, i loved the Black Panther movie & i rate it up there with the Captain America movies, the film had a great cast, very good story dealing with the sins of the fathers but what made the film & the other films the character featured in to be entertaining was Chadwick’s performance as the character who truly made it his own.

I hope Marvel don’t recast & do a sequel because nobody could play the part as good as Chadwick let us appreciate the four films the character featured in.

Taken way too soon, i send my love & prayers to Chadwick’s family & friends.

      Hi Simon.

I’m very pleased I saw ‘Black Panther’ on the big screen back in February 2018. I cherish pleasant memories of seeing that film at the cinema and it’s no surprise that it’s one of the ‘MCU’s most popular films over the years, thanks to Chadwick Boseman’s perfomance.

I can’t imagine Marvel recasting the Black Panther role and doing a sequel since that would be disrespectful and no-one could ever replace Chadwick playing the character in the films he did.

Indeed, he has been taken away from us too soon and it was such a shock to hear the news.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about Chadwick Boseman, Simon.

      Tim. 🙂
