Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s going to take a while before things get back to normal due to the current pandemic happening – please keep safe. In the meantime, there’s plenty to check out on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, whether it’d be ‘Doctor Who Timelines’, reviews on ‘Doctor Who’ stories, ‘Doctor Who’ stories by me or any reviews that are movie or TV-related.
This month in September, we’re getting closer to the blog’s 5th anniversary. I’ve got plenty to celebrate and share when it comes to end of this month to mark the blog’s half decade. Let’s find out what’s happening on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ for September and beyond as I’m sure there’s plenty for me to entertain you with.
There were two ‘Doctor Who’ stories of the ‘Zorbius’ series by me released in August, including ‘The Infinity Planet’ with the Eighth Doctor and his companion Jen and ‘The Nightmare of the Warrior’ with the War Doctor. For September, I’ll be sharing ‘The Child of Death’ with the Ninth Doctor. The next story after that will be ‘The Forest of Magicians’ with the Tenth Doctor, which will be shared in October. I’m currently uploading the next story after that called ‘The Horror of Time’ with the Eleventh Doctor, which I hope will be ready by November. I’ve been working with the Divergent Wordsmiths recently on their new anthology called ‘Unbound Imaginings II’. Stay tuned!
In terms of ‘Doctor Who’ reviews, I hope to share full-length reviews on Series 12 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jodie Whittaker via Blu-ray around November time this year. I hope to do this before ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ gets shown on TV, whether on Christmas Day 2020 or on New Year’s Day 2021. Stay tuned! 🙂 I hope I’ll receive the new ‘Fury From The Deep’ animation story on Blu-ray soon this month as well as ‘Great British Car Journeys’ with Peter Davison and Christopher Timothy on DVD.
Once again, I’ve been busy doing reviews on ‘Doctor Who’ audios by Big Finish in August, including stories like ‘The Kingmaker’, ‘The Churchill Years – Volume 1’, ‘Donna Noble: Kidnapped!’ and ‘The Twelfth Doctor Chronicles’. Very soon, I’ll be sharing reviews on ‘Singularity’ and ‘The Brood of Erys’. I’ve made a start on preparing reviews for my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season in December 2020 as I’m currently reading ‘The Target Storybook’. 🙂 I’ll be getting to the audios soon. I’ve also created a new ‘Doctor Who’ timeline for the Unbound Master as played by Sam Kisgart/Mark Gatiss in the Big Finish audios.
My latest ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe Film Review Season’ came to an end in August as I shared my reviews on ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’, ‘Captain Marvel’, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. With ‘Avengers: Endgame’, I reviewed that movie with Timelord007, Whiskeybrewer and Wolfie. Sadly, we lost Chadwick Boseman who played Black Panther in the ‘MCU’ as he died rather tragically after a 4 year battle with cancer. 😦 On the upside, I’ve shared my thoughts and predictions about the next upcoming ‘MCU’ film ‘Black Widow’ starring Scarlett Johannson.
I’m continuing to enjoy watching ‘The Bing Crosby Collection’ of movies on DVD. I’ve done six of the eight films to be reviewed so far. I’ll be seeing the last two Bing Crosby movies this month and I’ll be sharing my reviews on all eight films on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ sometime soon in September. Stay tuned for my upcoming reviews. A special Peter Pan review will also be shared on my blog to commemorate my late sister Bethan’s birthday this year.
Concerning cinemas, I’ve decided not to go back to watching films at the cinema for quite a while until the current pandemic has passed. How long that will last and whether things will change, I don’t know. In the meantime, I’m currently enjoying watching movies at home. I’ve done quick reviews on movies like ‘Dolittle’, ‘Aquaman’, the 2019 remake of ‘Lady and the Tramp’, ‘Maleficent’, ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ and ‘Artemis Fowl’.
I’ve done a quick CD album review and have shared theatre memories on ‘The Lion King’ stage show from November 2010. This is to make up for the disappointment that I’ve had of not being able to see the stage show again in Cardiff this year due to it being cancelled because of the pandemic. I’ve also shared reviews on new movie trailers for ‘Death on the Nile’ (2020), ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, ‘Justice League: The Synder Cut’ and ‘The Batman’.
I’ve done quick reviews on web TV shows like ‘Star Trek: Picard’ which I saw on Amazon Prime Video and ‘The Mandalorian’ which I saw on Disney+ and have now subscribed to. I’m continuing to enjoy watching comedy shows like ‘Harry Hill’s World of TV’ on BBC2 and ‘Muppets Now’ on Disney+. I’ve seen the first two episodes of ‘Harry Hill’s World of TV’ and the first episode of ‘Muppets Now’ already.
I’m nearly finished with watching Series 2 of ‘Grantchester’ on DVD and have shared quick TV episodes reviews on Series 2, Episode 2, Series 2, Episode 3, Series 2, Episode 4 and Series 2, Episode 5. I’m looking forward to watching the 2016 Christmas Special and Series 3 of ‘Grantchester’ soon. I’ve also reviewed Series 3 of ‘Call the Midwife’ and I’m currently enjoying watching and reviewing Series 4. I’m also currently enjoying and reviewing Season 5 of ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’ and Series 5 of ‘The Brittas Empire’.
My special celebration blog-a-thon is in place for the 29th of September as well as the special anniversary blog post I have in mind for the 30th of September to celebrate 5 years of ‘Bradley’s Basement’. There’ll be a reminder post shared before that to let you know when the blog-a-thon will start. I’m looking forward to this. I hope you are too. Please feel free to pop by and join in the 5th anniversary celebrations by the end of September.
Sadly, a convention I was looking forward to this year has been rescheduled for next year. Hopefully the rescheduled convention will happen in 2021. I would like to see people like Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sophie Aldred again. I’m hoping to make up for the disappointment by doing a video review on ‘Dr. Fifth’, the fifth book in the ‘Doctor Who’/’Mr. Men’ book series as well as do a reading on one of my Short Trips sometime. Stay tuned for further details.
I pray everyone is keeping safe during this difficult time we’re living in for 2020. I hope you’ll continue to enjoy more of ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and what’s to come. Please keep safe and stay healthy wherever you are. There are signs of improvement in the current world and hopefully it’ll be better in the months to come.
Many thanks to everyone who has supported my blog!
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
