Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I’ve seen another ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp’ DVD recently! This happens to be ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp Gold 2’, which was released in 2009. This has some more funny bits and some of Harry’s favourite moments from the ‘TV Burp’ series. Let me share what I enjoyed most from watching the DVD here.
A funny catchphrase that Harry picks up on from watching ‘Hole in the Wall’ is “Bring on the Wall!” I imagine Harry thinks Dale Winton says it better than Anton du Beke from watching a later ‘TV Burp’ DVD I’ve seen. 😀 I also enjoyed the ‘Emmerdale’ chutney gag. It ran right into ‘The Bill’ police drama.
Yeah, don’t know how they did it, but they edited and redubbed characters lines to make it sound like people were selling supplies of chutney as a crime from ‘Emmerdale’ as it’s so irresistible. 😀 It’s also funny when ‘Mean Machines’ did a version of ‘household appliances’ being ‘mean machines’. 😀
This includes the toaster, the kettle and the toilet. I would never have guessed they’d be ‘mean machines’. 😀 I found it funny when Harry Hill helped Amanda Holden in an episode of ‘Wild at Heart’, giving her a heat protection suit in flames as it was pitched for the ‘American Inventor’ show.
Not seen ‘American Inventor’, but apparently it’s a bit like ‘Dragon’s Den’. 😐 I found it funny when Harry demonstrated how chickens can ‘change’ TV channels when watching shows like ‘EastEnders’ and ‘Emmerdale’ for ‘Best in Show’ on Channel 5. The demonstration does have unsuccessful results.
This includes a chicken turning the volume down; turning the colour down and switching to main menu which nobody can get out of using a TV remote control. 😀 It was funny when Harry tried to give the ‘TV Announcement of the Week’ when addressing the audience over the ‘main menu’ here.
I found the bits from ‘Doctors’ funny when Harry demonstrated he had a sugar puff through his nose whilst having a ‘fry up’ all over his head. It was funny to see Bernard Kay (who’s been in ‘Doctor Who’) playing a man who can only communicate in questions. He even guest starred on ‘TV Burp’ following the ‘Doctors’ story he did. 🙂
I was amazed to discover that the Knitted Character who appears in ‘TV Burp’ made his debut in an episode of ‘EastEnders’. I’ve seen the Knitted Character on ‘TV Burp’ before I watched ‘TV Burp Gold 2’. It was amusing once the Knitted Character appeared on ‘TV Burp’ and called Harry ‘baldy’ here. 😀
I found it funny when Harry had a finger and a plaster in a steak pie prepared for him from ‘Rosemary Shrager’s School For Cooks’. I also enjoyed the ‘Dangerous Adventures For Boys’ segment involving steam trains and it was funny when nobody was sleeping except Harry in the engine boiler.
The ‘Heartbeat’ segment features a scene in a loop where a girl kisses a man whilst shaving and she gets shaving cream on her nose. I found it funny when Harry intervened to break the loop! If only he could break the loop between the Fourth Doctor and Romana in ‘Meglos’. That would be hilarious. 🙂
I liked the ‘When Sharks Attack’ segment, especially when Harry kept getting attacked by a baby shark, including an ‘unborn’ one in a shark tail. 😀 I enjoyed it when Harry drank ‘Alice in Wonderland’s Drink Me potion from ‘Heston Blumenthal’s Victorian Feast’ where he had shrunk down to size. 😀
The wobbly jelly featured in ‘Heston Blumenthal’s Victorian Feast’ was amusing too. The DVD concludes with a ‘Snog Marry Avoid’ segment where Harry makes out that his ‘mum’ dressed up like Britney Spears. It was funny when Harry told a girl with ‘too much make-up’ to take her make-up off.
The extra burps featured on ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp Gold 2’ include ‘Totally Unseen TV Burp’ and the outtakes. In the outtakes, it was funny when the wobbly jelly on Harry’s plate actually came off and landed on Harry’s desk. There were also hiccups during a ferret and a telephone scene with Harry. 😀
‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp Gold 2’ was very entertaining to watch. I enjoyed the moments featured from the show collected in this second volume of the very best of ‘TV Burp’. It was also nice to see the Knitted Character in it. I’m looking forward to what’s in store for ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp Gold 3’ next. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
