Basement News – November 2020

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Apologies for this blog post coming in late. I’m currently tied up with many projects at the moment and I’m getting things ready for Christmas next month. Hopefully everything should be sorted before December comes, but I can now share what’s in store for ‘Bradley’s Basement’ in November and beyond.

It’s fair to say that 2020 hasn’t been a good year for many of us – please keep safe. I pray and hope though that I’ve kept many of you entertained during these difficult times. Let me share with you what’s happening this month as well as in December. Please bear in mind, there won’t be a ‘Basement News’ post for December as per usual.

I will make up for this when it comes to announcing the ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar for December 2020 on the last day of November. The advent calendar itself will feature photos of Cuddles in his Santa outfit, checking out some of his and my favourite things that we have in the Bradley household. 😀 I also hope to have a new Christmas banner for ‘Bradley’s Basement’ by then.

In October, I shared my latest ‘Doctor Who: Zorbius’ story called ‘The Forest of Magicians’ featuring the Tenth Doctor and Donna. For November, I’ll be sharing ‘The Horror of Time’ with the Eleventh Doctor. In December, the ‘Zorbius’ series will come to an end as I’ll be sharing ‘The Saviour of the Daleks’ with the Twelfth Doctor and ‘The Two Salvadors’ with the Thirteenth Doctor. There are more ‘Doctor Who’ short stories on their way, including two for a Divergent Wordsmiths anthology called ‘Unbound Imaginings II’. Incidentally, I’ve had a tribute by the Divergent Wordsmiths about my ‘Bradley’s Basement’s 5th anniversary which is nice. 🙂 I hope to work on two more Short Trips for my blog soon. Stay tuned!

I haven’t shared that many reviews on ‘Doctor Who’ audios by Big Finish lately. The latest review I have done in October was on ‘Masters of Earth’ with Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant. I hope to get back into reviewing some more Sixth Doctor audios asap as well as other ‘Doctor Who’ audios I’ve purchased recently. There will be a new review on the Fifth Doctor anthology called ‘Time Apart’ shared later in the month. I have updated my review on the ‘Doctor Who – Enlightenment’ Target novelization, based on the new audiobook read by Steven Pacey. I’ve also done a video review on ‘Dr. Fifth’ recently and plan to do reviews on ‘Dr. Sixth’ and ‘Dr. Seventh’ in the New Year.

I’ve been busy with setting up ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season in December this year. I’m happy to say that it’s all prepared, though I’ve yet to hear and review the ‘Timeslip’ audios featuring Sarah Sutton, which I’m currently doing at the moment. I’m very excited about ‘The War Master’ box set that Sarah Sutton as Nyssa is appearing in with Katy Manning as Jo and Sir Derek Jacobi as the Master called ‘Killing Time’. Bring on August 2021! 😀

I’m gradually working my way to getting the ‘March of the Thirteenth Doctor’ marathon review season in March 2021 sorted. Already, I’ve prepared a review on one of the Thirteenth Doctor novels and have started doing new reviews on Series 12 with ‘Spyfall’ already written. I’ve also pre-ordered my Blu-ray copy of ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ in advance. 😀 New reviews on ‘Fury From The Deep’, ‘The Power of the Daleks’ and ‘Great British Car Journeys’ will be attended to soon.

I’ve finished my reviews on ‘Muppets Now’, being shown on Disney+, with my review on the sixth episode called ‘Socialized’. I’m currently watching ‘The Muppets’ 2015 series and have enjoyed watching the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth episodes recently. I’m looking forward to seeing more episodes of ‘The Muppets’ 2015 series later in November and December.

In October and November, I’ve been doing the ‘Mission: Impossible Film Review Season’. This features Blu-ray reviews on all the current films in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ series including ‘Mission: Impossible’, ‘Mission: Impossible 2’, ‘Mission: Impossible III’, ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ and ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’. My final review ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ will be up on my blog next week.

In terms of Spider-Man reviews lately, I’ve shared my thoughts on Volumes 2 and 3 of Season 2 of the original 1960s cartoon show. I’m currently struggling to get my reviews on Volumes 1 and 2 of Season 3 sorted. Hopefully I’ll get onto uploading them on my blog soon enough. Incidentally, a crossover live-action movie featuring Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland would be welcome. 🙂

I’ve been doing some reviews on ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp’ lately via the show’s DVD releases. This includes reviews on ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp Gold’, ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp Gold 2’, ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp Gold 3’ and ‘Harry Hill’s TV Burp – The Best Bits’. I hope to do my review on ‘Harry Hill’s Cream of TV Burp’ soon. 😀

In October, I saw and reviewed the sixth and final episode of 2020’s ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ called ‘A Cure For All Ills’. I greatly enjoyed the 2020 remake of ‘All Creatures’ shown on Channel 5 as it surpassed my expectations. I’m currently looking forward to the upcoming Christmas Special of 2020’s ‘All Creatures’ in December. 🙂 Also on TV, I saw the ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ episode featuring Jodie Whittaker on BBC One, enjoying it very much.

I’ve finished seeing the first three seasons of ‘Grantchester’ as I’ve recently reviewed Episodes 4, 5 and 6 of Series 3. I’m currently revisiting Series 4 and 5 of ‘Grantchester’ which you can check out on my blog via these links here. I hope I’ll see Series 4 and 5 in time before Series 6 of the show premieres on ITV1 soon. 🙂 I’m currently watching episodes of Series 6 of ‘The Brittas Empire’. I’ve reviewed all of Series 4 of ‘Call the Midwife’ and I’m currently watching episodes of Series 5. I’ve reviewed all of Season 5 of ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’ and I’m currently watching episodes of Season 6.

I’ve seen quite a number of movies on Disney+ recently and have reviewed them on my blog, including ‘Muppets Most Wanted’, ‘The Aristocats’, ‘The Rescuers’ and ‘The Rescuers Down Under’, ‘The Muppet Movie’ from 1979 and ‘The Sword in the Stone’.

‘Star Wars’ has returned for me as I’ve started watching Season 2 of ‘The Mandalorian’ on Disney+. Check out my latest review on ‘Chapter 9: The Marshal’. I hope to continue watching more episodes of ‘The Mandalorian’ in the weeks to come. I’m also revisiting ‘Star Wars’ movies starting from ‘The Phantom Menace’ right up to its latest entry ‘The Rise of Skywalker’. I’m also currently reading the original ‘Thrawn’ trilogy, starting with ‘Heir to the Empire’. This is all in preparation for an upcoming ‘Star Wars Review Season’ I have in mind, hopefully for February 2021.

There will be more reviews shared on my blog later in the weeks to come. I’m currently excited for Christmas this year. It will be different compared to last year, but I hope to enjoy it, especially with all the plans I have mind for the upcoming ‘Bradley’s Basement‘s Advent Calendar, the last two ‘Zorbius’ stories, ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ reviews and other Christmas-related reviews and items.

Stay tuned! Hope to share a news update at the end of the month in time before the advent calendar begins. 😀

Many thanks to everyone who has supported my blog!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
