Day 9 – Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2020

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Day 9 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2020’.

Who owns the same acorn in every movie he’s in?

Scrat the sabre-toothed squirrel from the ‘Ice Age’ movies of course!  Here’s a photo of Santa Cuddles with Scrat as they look over the ‘Ice Age’ movies he’s been in. Scrat’s been in five films. I’ve only got four at the moment. I probably should get the fifth ‘Ice Age’ movie on DVD sometime soon.

The movies include ‘Ice Age’, ‘Ice Age: The Meltdown’, ‘Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs’, ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’ and ‘Ice Age: Collision Course’. I like the first ‘Ice Age’ movie very much. ‘The Meltdown’ was okay, but then ‘Dawn of the Dinosaurs’ came along and I found that funny to watch.

‘Continental Drift’ was once again okay and ‘Collision Course’…um; I think that was the final straw. I’ve only had a chance to review ‘Collision Course’ from seeing it at the cinema as well as ‘Cosmic Strat-tastrophe’, which is a short prequel to the film. I must get to review the movies in detail soon.

The ‘Ice Age’ films can be hit or miss at times. It depends on how many stories they can tell about prehistoric animals like Manfred, Sid and Diego surviving the Ice Age. I doubt there’ll be a sixth film coming anytime soon, though the possibility is being considered. I think it should stop at five movies.

As well as the ‘Ice Ages’ films, I hope to review other ‘Ice Age’-related specials such as ‘A Mammoth Christmas and ‘The Great Egg-Scapade’. I hope to watch one of the ‘Ice Age’ films with Cuddles and Scrat sometime. I wish though that Scrat would just let go of that acorn he’s got. He won’t let go! 😀

Cuddles: “Look at ‘Big Nose’ with his acorn! He’s always sticking his nose in the air!”

Thanks for reading!

Check out what Day 9 of my ‘Bradley’s Basement Advent Calendars’ for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 were about!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
