Day 19 – Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2020

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Day 19 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2020’.

Ready for a teddy bear’s picnic?

In this photo, Santa Cuddles and Big Ted are about to watch two Winnie the Pooh movies. They include ‘The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh’ and ‘Christopher Robin’, both from Disney. I like these movies very much. The first movie is an animated feature whilst the second is live-action. 🙂

I used to watch ‘The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh’ on TV and VHS when I was a kid, loving the episodes I saw. Recently watching ‘The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh’ and ‘Christopher Robin’ has brought me a great sense of nostalgia, as I remember what I liked about Winnie the Pooh.

Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’) herself used to play Baby Roo in a production of ‘Winnie the Pooh’ when she was a little girl in the 1960s. In fact, that was her first acting job. I would like to chat to Sarah someday about her playing Baby Roo as well as sharing my memories of ‘Winnie the Pooh’.

I know I tend to consider cuddly toys like Cuddles and Big Ted as being real, but then again, we all do that, don’t we? I remember having Sooty, Sweep, Soo and Little Cousin Scampi once and I’m sure I considered them real as a kid. It’s so nice to have cuddly toys to keep us happy, even in tough times.

I’m looking forward to watching ‘The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh’ on DVD and ‘Christopher Robin’ on Blu-ray again soon this Christmas time. Who knows, I might have some honey on crackers or honey on toast with these films. I prefer honey than marmalade like Paddington does.

Cuddles: “Big Ted is now five years old since he was born in 2016.”

Thanks for reading!

Check out what Day 19 of my ‘Bradley’s Basement Advent Calendars’ for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 were about!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
