Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
As we’ve gone through a nightmare of a year in 2020 – please keep safe – Christmas is a welcome time to enjoy. Happy Christmas to everyone who has followed my blog for the past five years! Also Happy Christmas to those who’ve just started following my blog or have come here on a whim. You’re very welcome here.
I’m wearing a new Christmas pullover as well as my Santa hat in this photo I’m sharing on my blog today! I’m staying at home for Christmas with my parents. Santa Cuddles is staying at home for Christmas too as he’s sitting on my knee. There’s also Snowy from ‘The Snowman and the Snowdog’ and Puddles who are sitting next to the Christmas tree. 😀
Despite the hardships we’ve gone through in 2020, let’s not forget the true meaning of Christmas. We can still enjoy the festivities of today whilst we’re at home, but Christmas is a time to remember the birth of the baby Jesus who was born in Bethlehem and he later died on the cross to save us from our sins at Easter time. I’m looking forward to attending a Christmas Day church service via Zoom to celebrate the first Christmas with the baby Jesus. Here’s my review on ‘The Nativity Story’ to find out more.
I’m looking forward to unwrapping my Christmas presents for this year. I hope to share what I’ve got for Christmas this year on my blog very soon in terms of the presents from my family and friends. There’ll be something special and Sarah Sutton-related shared later on today. The new ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season from 2020 to 2021 will start tomorrow. 😀
Once again, we don’t have a 2020 Christmas Special of ‘Doctor Who’ to be shown on Christmas Day. But we do have a New Year’s Day Special coming up on the 1st of January 2021 next week which is ‘Revolution of the Daleks’, starring Jodie Whittaker, Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, Mandip Gill and John Barrowman. I’m looking forward to seeing it. I think that New Year’s Day Specials are going to be the norm for ‘Doctor Who’ nowadays as opposed to having Christmas Specials on Christmas Day.
By now, you should’ve seen my review on the Christmas Special for 2020’s ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ series which was shown on Channel 5 last Tuesday. For today, I’m looking forward to seeing the 2020 Christmas Special of ‘Call the Midwife’. It’ll be very interesting to see the special, especially since Peter Davison (who plays the Fifth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’) guest stars in the special. I’m looking forward to something else Peter Davison/Sarah Sutton-related later on today. 😀
There’s plenty of festive ‘Doctor Who’ stories by me to check out on my blog including the ‘Merry Christmas From The Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ anthology, including ‘The Ghost of Leckwick’, ‘The Pantomime of Death’ and ‘Cuddles’. There are also my latest ‘Zorbius’ stories to check out as well as the two new stories in the ‘Unbound Imaginings, Volume 2’ anthology including ‘The City of the Bad Wolf’ and ‘Into the Death-Space’. There’s also ‘Lady and the Soldier’ featuring James Darby and Lady Christina de Souza. Hopefully more surprises will be coming soon in term of stories.
By the way, check out this little video sketch featuring Cuddles, Snuggles, his son Buggles and Puddles as they tell the story of ‘The Curse of Dr. Filthy’. Enjoy!
Last Christmas, I shared a special YouTube video that was a Christmas memory from my childhood – ‘Thomas’ Christmas Party’ from the ‘Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends’ series. I leave you now with the second Christmas story featuring Thomas the Tank Engine called ‘Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree’. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
Stay tuned for more Christmas surprises coming your way! In the meantime, enjoy today!
Merry Christmas!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂
