Comic Reviews – ‘The Clockwise War’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

We’re coming to the end of 2020! For this instalment of ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ on New Year’s Eve today, I’m sharing my reviews on the ‘Doctor Who’ comic stories featured in the graphic novel called ‘The Clockwise War’. The story of focus is ‘Blood Invocation’ which features the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan.

‘Blood Invocation’ is a bizarre entry in this latest ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season as it’s by Paul Cornell and it features vampires in it, whereas he wrote a Fifth Doctor/Nyssa/Tegan novel about vampires called ‘Goth Opera’ beforehand. The stories featured in ‘The Clockwise War’ graphic novel star various Doctors. As well as the Fifth Doctor, there’s the Twelfth Doctor, the First Doctor and the Fourth Doctor.

Please feel free to check out; read and comment on my reviews for the stories featured in ‘The Clockwise War’ graphic novel. This includes reviews on ‘The Clockwise War’, ‘The Cybermen’, ‘A Religious Experience’, ‘Rest & Re-Creation’, ‘The Naked Flame’, ‘Blood Invocation’, ‘Star Beast II’ and ‘Junk-Yard Demon II’.

Enjoy! 🙂

Stay tuned tomorrow for my final ‘Nyssa Challenge’ review of this mini-review season, which will be on the webcast…(groans) ‘Farewell Sarah Jane’ by Russell T. Davies, narrated by Jacob Dudman.

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
