Webcast Review – ‘Farewell, Sarah Jane’ (The Sarah Jane Adventures)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

It’s New Year’s Day today for 2021. Let’s hope this New Year will be better than the previous year. 😐 For our final instalment of ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ 2020-21 mini-review season, let’s take a look at the ‘final’ ‘Sarah Jane Adventure’ featured as part of the ‘Doctor Who Lockdown!’ season in April 2020 called ‘Farewell, Sarah Jane’.

It’s by Russell T. Davies and it’s narrated by Jacob Dudman. It also features Katy Manning, Sophie Aldred, Mina Anwar, Daniel Anthony, Tommy Knight and Anjli Mohindra. This was to commemorate the passing of Elisabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith in ‘Doctor Who’. She sadly passed away on the 19th of April 2011. The story features cameos of past companions, including Nyssa and Tegan. Their cameos…I’m not very happy about. 😦

Here’s the webcast video of ‘Farewell, Sarah Jane’ via the ‘Doctor Who’ YouTube for you to check out.

Please feel free to check out; read and comment on my review for ‘Farewell, Sarah Jane’ (SJA).

Enjoy! 🙂

I hope ‘The Lost Resort’ and ‘Perils and Nightmares’ featuring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, Janet Fielding as Tegan and George Watkins as Marc will get made soon. I hope to update some existing reviews on some Nyssa stories for the next ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season in December 2021. I also hope we’ll get the Season 20 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ soon. I’m currently looking forward to Nyssa appearing in ‘The War Master’ audio series by Big Finish in the box set called ‘Killing Time’. Stay tuned!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
