It’s time to talk about the final episode of the 2015-16 ‘Muppets’ series! And what good timing it is since it’s been announced all five seasons of the original ‘Muppet Show’ are going to be released on Disney+ in February. I’m planning to review each season as a whole once I come to watching them. 🙂
I’ve enjoyed ‘The Muppets’ 2015-16 series. I’m saddened it never got a second season because for the most part I’ve enjoyed the storylines and the character development featured throughout each episode. It seemed that the final episode was ending on a note in that the show could’ve continued.
In the episode, Kermit and Miss Piggy struggle with the aftermath of confessing their love to each other in ‘Generally Inhospitable’. Kermit is apprehensive whilst still in love with her and Miss Piggy wants to be sure that he still loves her. Other Muppets are curious about what Kermit’s going to do.
Kermit has also flipped a coin to come to a decision about getting back with Miss Piggy, which Miss Piggy isn’t happy about once discovering this. As Kermit struggles with the positives and negatives of his decision-making, he runs into Jack White, an American singer-songwriter I’ve no knowledge of. 😀
I like how Kermit talks with Jack White about the decision he has to make and very soon, Jack White performs on Miss Piggy’s ‘Up Late with Miss Piggy’ show, performing the song ‘You Are the Sunshine of My Life’. It makes Piggy nervous and she runs off whilst everyone performs on the stage with Jack.
The episode ends with Miss Piggy wanting to get away on a plane to Thailand. Kermit turns up with a calzone (having provided calzones to Miss Piggy on planes in the past when she didn’t realise it). As Kermit and Miss Piggy consider getting back together, it turns out that Pepe is secretly on the plane.
It’s not established if Kermit and Miss Piggy are back together. It’s left open-ended for a potential second season which didn’t sadly happen. I enjoyed the last episode of ‘The Muppets’ 2015-16 series and I’m very glad I’ve been able to enjoy this ‘Muppets’ series on Disney+ these past few months. 😀
I’ll probably re-watch ‘Muppets Now’ on Disney+ before the original ‘Muppets Show’ comes to Disney+ in February.
By the way, ‘Mahna Mahna’ was in this episode! 😀
