Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I’ve seen the fourth episode of ‘WandaVision’! More details get revealed as to what’s going on in the series. In this episode, we find out what’s been happening in the outside world as the first three episodes seem to take place in some other reality where it’s all a fantasy for Wanda and Vision here.
The episode begins with Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, an agent of S.W.O.R.D. who returns to life following the Blip that occurred in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Monica was introduced in ‘Captain Marvel’ and she was played by Akira Akbar as a little girl with her mom Maria.
Monica is shocked to find out her mum died of cancer during the time she went missing. Three weeks later, Monica returns to work and is sent to help Randall Park as FBI agent Jimmy Woo, who was previously Scott Lang’s parole officer in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’. They investigate a town – Westview.
Or rather it’s a town that’s not there in New Jersey. Monica soon gets pulled into a hexagonal static field surrounding the town and she ends up being ‘Geraldine’ as we saw her in the first three episodes with Wanda and Vision. Things become more intriguing as to what the sitcom reality’s been about. 😐
The episode also features Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, an astrophysicist who appeared in ‘Thor’ and ‘Thor: The Dark World’. Darcy isn’t so annoying in ‘WandaVision’ as she was in the ‘Thor’ films. I like how Darcy and Jimmy Woo work together to uncover what’s going on and where Monica ended up.
The episode concludes just as the third episode concluded with Monica being sent out of Wanda’s world when he uses her telekinetic powers against her. It seems the sitcom illusion is all Wanda’s work, I believe. Perhaps Vision isn’t actually alive as we have been led to believe. What is going on?!
I enjoyed the fourth episode of ‘WandaVision’ very much. I’m intrigued about what’s going on and why this sitcom has been set up by Wanda for her and Vision. I’m glad Monica has finally appeared in the series as well as Jimmy Woo and Darcy. Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen are very good too. 🙂
Stay tuned for my review on the fifth episode of ‘WandaVision’ next week.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now
Tim. 🙂
