Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
And welcome to the first instalment of this year’s ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’!
As it’s Easter Monday today, I thought it’d be good to start off the ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’ by looking into an Easter movie called ‘Easter Parade’. This 1948 film stars Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in their only film outing together. My parents and I enjoyed watching this film in 2020 and recently for 2021.
‘Easter Parade’ also features Peter Lawford who was in 1947’s ‘Good News’ and Ann Miller who would later go on to star in 1949’s ‘On the Town’. This is a highly regarded musical film to watch at Easter time. Does it still stand the test of time or is it considered a forgotten relic which belongs to the 1940s?
Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my review for ‘Easter Parade’ by clicking on the link for it.
Enjoy!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂
