Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s Spring Bank Holiday Monday in May in the UK today! 🙂
I’ve recently updated my reviews on the five stories featured in the Season 8 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jon Pertwee. I’m currently looking forward to Season 24 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with Sylvester McCoy when it comes out soon. For now, let’s talk about the five stories of Season 8 each in turn for each day of this week. Season 8 of ‘Doctor Who’ stars Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant with Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Roger Delgado as the Master, Richard Franklin as Captain Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton.
The first story of Season 8 is ‘Terror of the Autons’ where the Autons and the Nestenes from ‘Spearhead From Space’ return and the Master and Jo Grant get introduced. 2021 marks 50 years of the Master and Jo Grant in ‘Doctor Who’. I enjoyed watching the extras on the ‘Terror of the Autons’ Blu-ray disc, including the ‘Behind the Sofa’ item featuring Katy Manning and Stewart Bevan; Sarah Sutton and Janet Fielding; and Anjli Mohindra and Sacha Dhawan.
Please feel free to check out; read and comment on my updated review for ‘Terror of the Autons’ by clicking on the link for it. This contains a review on the TV story as well as on the Target novelization/audiobook ‘Doctor Who and the Terror of the Autons’ by Terrance Dicks, read by Geoffrey Beevers.
Bye for now!
