Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog AND IT’S THE 6TH ANNIVERSARY!!!
Six years of ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and…we’re still having to abide by certain current pandemic guidelines. 😦 – please keep safe. Thankfully restrictions have eased significantly in the UK and certain parts of the world. Things are better compared to what they were in 2020. Cinemas have opened up and I’ve seen films on the big screen in 2021! Conventions and comics have started again and I’m looking forward to ‘Bedford Who Charity Con’ in October.
I’m pleased I’ve been able to do my blog for the past six years and I’m still keeping everyone entertained. What with doing reviews on ‘Doctor Who’ stories and certain films and TV shows I like; creating and updating ‘Doctor Who’ timelines for people to use so they can know where ‘Doctor Who’ stories take place in terms of chronology; and writing ‘Doctor Who’ stories featuring my favourite characters like the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy.
I’ve come a long way from doing that first ‘Hello and Welcome’ blog post back in September 2015 and I’m very pleased with how ‘Bradley’s Basement’ has developed and evolved over the years. I hope you’ve enjoyed what I’ve shared on my blog these past six years. Thank you very much to those who have supported my blog these past six years. I’m sure I wouldn’t be here without my ‘Bradley’s Basement’ supporters.
To celebrate six years of ‘Bradley’s Basement’, I will be sharing the first of a new segment on my blog called ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Strange Love’. This will hopefully be the first of many discussions on certain ‘Doctor Who’ stories, films and TV shows I like. The first one up is on the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Keeper of Traken’ to celebrate 40 years of Nyssa. I’m joined by Timelord007, Wolfie and WilliamsFan92 for the discussion. Stay tuned for it today!
I’m also sharing a special surprise later on today which you will have to look out and it involves an upcoming project I’m currently working on. Can you guess what it is? 😀 Also, as Series 13 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jodie Whittaker will start soon on BBC TV, I’ve created a new ‘Doctor Who’ timeline for Dan Lewis, the Thirteenth Doctor’s new companion, as played by John Bishop. I’ve added Dan’s timeline to ‘The Companions’ Timelines Index’.
I hope to keep you entertained with more things to come on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. There will be more ‘Doctor Who’ reviews coming your way, including on stories featured in the ‘Time Lord Victorious’ series in the build-up to the show’s 58th anniversary. There are also some Christmas things to look forward by the end of 2021, including my annual ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar in December, some Christmassy-related reviews, and the upcoming ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season from 2021 to 2022. I’m also looking forward to sharing two new stories in an upcoming Divergent Wordsmiths anthology. Stay tuned! 🙂
I’ll have more reviews to share from watching things on the big screen such as the James Bond 007 film ‘No Time to Die’, ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. I hope to share more ‘Grantchester’ reviews from watching Series 6 via ITV1 on TV and more new series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ reviews from watching Series 2 via Channel 5 on TV. I also hope to share reviews from watching stuff on Disney+ like the upcoming MCU show ‘Hawkeye’ and the ‘Star Wars’ show ‘The Book of Boba Fett’. I also hope to share ‘Stingray’ reviews, based on watching the TV show currently available on Britbox. There’s so much to check out and share on ‘Bradley’s Basement’!
We have had a couple of tumultuous years since the start of 2020. But I’d like to keep positive, praying and hoping things will be better despite all the uncertainty and hardships we go through. Thank you again for continuing to support me with my blog as it’s helped me to put my mind off the tough times we’ve been going through lately.
If you’d like to share and give feedback on what you like most and what has been your favourite thing on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ these past six years, please leave a reply in the comments section below. Also leave a reply on what you would like to see next on my blog and what can be improved for its seventh year.
In the meantime, please feel free to check out my new ‘Doctor Who’ timeline for Dan Lewis. I’m currently looking forward to when ‘Doctor Who’ comes back on TV and we get to see Dan in action with the Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz. I also hope you’ll enjoy my ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Strange Love’ discussion on ‘The Keeper of Traken’ with Timelord007, Wolfie and WilliamsFan92 later on in the day. The special surprise after that should also be exciting.
Let’s hope the seventh year on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ from 2021 to 2022 will be a good one! And we’re getting close to ‘Bedford Who Charity Con’ in October. I’m currently looking forward to seeing Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison and Janet Fielding again at a convention. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂
Congratulations Tim!
Good job on keeping this blog going for six years. I’ve actually thought about starting up my own blog in a similar style to yours. Maybe I’ll wait until next year before I start it up.
I am looking forward to reading the ‘Keeper of Traken’ ‘Strange Love’ discussion with you, me, Timelord007 and Wolfie later today.
Take care, WF92.
