Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
The latest trailer for the upcoming ‘MCU Spider-Man’ movie ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ came out this week. This is a highly anticipated film expected to be released at around Christmas time on December the 17th 2021. Let me share with you some quick thoughts about the latest film trailer. 🙂
From the trailer, it looks like it’s going to be an epic ‘Spider-Man’ film. This is especially with the promise of returning ‘Spider-Man’ villains from previous movies, including Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Thomas Haden Church as Sandman and Rhys Ifans as the Lizard. I think James Franco’s New Goblin might make an appearance in the film.
No sign of Venom though – both Topher Grace and Tom Hardy. Whilst having Tom Holland’s Spider-Man going up against these villains might be exciting, I’m not sure having past ‘Spider-Man’ villains from previous films like Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Sandman and Electro is going to excite me very much…
Doc Ock: “You’re not Peter Parker!”
Oh, I hope that line of dialogue means that we’ll get a surprise cameo appearance of Tobey Maguire in this film as well as Andrew Garfield if we’re lucky. There’s been a lot of speculation going on this past year regarding Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s involvement in the film with Tom Holland’s Spidey.
I hope ‘Spider-Man’ fans, including me, won’t be disappointed if it turns out not to be the case. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ does seem to go into more serious territory, which I hope will be the case compared to the light-hearted tone of the first two films – ‘Homecoming’ and ‘Far From Home’.
Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange seems to have a lot of involvement in the film. Zendaya as Michelle (MJ) and Jacob Batalon as Ned seem to be joining Tom Holland’s Peter Parker more in the adventure. In one shot of the trailer, J. K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson is out in the open at night with a hat on his head. Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May might have a more active part in the film when she’s running towards something.
Overall, the third ‘MCU Spider-Man’ film looks promising. I hope it won’t be disappointing when it comes to seeing it at the cinema.
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂

Hi Simon.
Glad you’re looking forward to seeing ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ at cinemas in December. I’m hoping it’ll be a great film and hope it’ll deliver what it promises it’ll be over Christmas. I’m hoping Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland will all be in the same film.
To be fair, I haven’t been impressed with ‘MCU Spider-Man’ lately as the films ‘Homecoming’ and ‘Far From Home’ have been underwhelming efforts for me. I hope that won’t be the case for ‘No Way Home’ and I hope to have an open mind when it comes to seeing the film on the big screen.
Many thanks for your comments.
Tim 🙂
