The first time I saw Jodie Foster was in a film called ‘Flightplan’. I saw this movie at the cinema back in 2005, I saw it again on DVD in 2006, and I recently saw it on Disney+ in 2022. You could argue that ‘Flightplan’ is a remake of the Alfred Hitchcock classic ‘The Lady Vanishes’. There is validity in that. 🙂

Over the Easter holidays, my parents and I have been watching the five ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movies on Disney+. I’ve greatly enjoyed checking them out, as I’ve been meaning to watch them in 2022. I’m happy to be up-to-date with how the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film series has gone so far.

For Christmas 2021, I gave my Mum the complete series of ‘Hetty Wainthropp Investigates’. This is a crime drama series, featuring Patricia Routledge as the title character. Many of you will know her for playing Hyacinth Bucket in ‘Keeping Up Appearances’. It was nice to see her in this TV drama series.

On Easter Monday this year, I saw the third ‘Fantastic Beasts’ film at the cinema – ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’. This is the sequel to ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, which I saw at the cinema in 2016, and ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’, which I saw in 2018.

Over the Easter weekend, my parents and I saw the movie ‘Operation Mincemeat’ on the Easter Saturday. 🙂 My Mum was keenly interested to see this period World War II drama film on the big screen. So was my Dad. I happily obliged and accompanied them to see this movie on the big screen.

I’ve had a chance to check out one of the latest ‘Lost Stories’ of ‘Doctor Who’ by Big Finish called ‘The Doomsday Contract’, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Lalla Ward as Romana and K-9, voiced by John Leeson. This was an enjoyable audio adventure to check out. The story is by John Lloyd, adapted by Nev Fountain.

For the past six weeks, my parents and I have enjoyed Series 7 of ‘Grantchester’ on Britbox! 🙂 I’m glad we were able to see these episodes after they were transmitted on ITV1 on Fridays. My parents and I checked out the six episodes on Britbox on a Saturday and a Sunday for the past six weekends.

After a false start at the end of December 2021, I’ve managed to check out the complete seven-episode series of ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ in the ‘Star Wars’ universe. I’ve enjoyed watching this series on Disney+. It’s not as good as ‘The Mandalorian’ in my humble opinion, but I have enjoyed it.

And here we are at the end of ‘The Divergent Universe’ season of ‘Doctor Who’! It’s time to check out the eighth and final story of this season of Big Finish audios called ‘The Next Life’, starring Paul McGann as the Doctor, India Fisher as Charley and Conrad Westmaas as C’rizz. The story also features special guest stars Daphne Ashbrook as Perfection, Paul Darrow as Guidance and Don Warrington as Rassilon. On Easter Sunday this year, I saw the penultimate episode of Jodie Whittaker/Chris Chibnall’s era of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Legend of the Sea Devils’. I had a fun time watching this Easter Special. The story has Jodie Whittaker back as the Thirteenth Doctor, Mandip Gill as Yaz and John Bishop as Dan.
