‘Top Gun’ used to be the name of my local fish and chip shop before it got renamed. Yes, really! 😀 It’s also the name of two movies I’ve seen recently, starring Tom Cruise. I’ve seen the 1986 film ‘Top Gun’ on Prime Video and the 2022 film ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ at the cinema. They’ve been interesting!

Back in the 1990s, I used to enjoy watching ‘Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers’, a Disney cartoon show that was shown on some weekends on GMTV in the UK. I know in the USA, they had the TV show shown on weekdays for their ‘Disney Afternoon’ block, but sadly I didn’t have that luxury back then.

So, I was planning to do an updated review on the 2019 film ‘Little Women’ and perhaps do a quick review on the 1994 film adaptation. Sadly, that hasn’t come about with things getting in the way. Thankfully, I can make up for that by doing an in-depth review on the biographical drama film ‘Becoming Jane’, focusing on the early life of Jane Austen.

This is ‘Ghosts of Winterborne’ and it’s a sequel to the second ‘P.R.O.B.E.’ episode called ‘The Devil of Winterborne’.

I’ve seen two films on Disney+ lately, including ‘Hidalgo’ with Viggo Mortensen and ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ with Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks. I thought to share a couple of quick reviews on them. They’re both fascinating films to check out in terms of historical value and with very distinct styles. 🙂

I’ve created a new page about Douglas Adams on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. I’ve also reviewed the first of ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ radio series by Douglas Adams called ‘Primary Phase’. This is a series I’ve wanted to check out and review on my blog for quite some time. I’m glad I’ve been able to review the first ‘Hitchhiker’s’ radio series as a starting point.

Here’s my latest review on the 1987 film adaptation of ‘Little Dorrit’, based on the novel by Charles Dickens. The 1987 film adaptation of ‘Little Dorrit’ is a two-part film. Each part is about 3 hours long, which makes this a 6-hour film altogether. You’ll probably want to spend two days watching this particular film. 🙂
