Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s time to talk about my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story from the Colin Baker era. It was also the first story for me to experience Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. We continue our look into Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with ‘The Two Doctors’, a multi-Doctor story featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. There’s also Frazer Hines as Jamie who accompanies Patrick Troughton’s Doctor as well as Nicola Bryant as Peri who accompanies Colin Baker’s Doctor.
The story also features Jacqueline Pearce (of ‘Blake’s 7’ fame) as the villainous Chessene. There’s also the monstrous Sontarans and there’s John Stratton as the hilarious Shockeye. 😀 I greatly enjoyed revisiting ‘The Two Doctors’ on Blu-ray, especially with its extended version of ‘Part One’. I also enjoyed checking out the Blu-ray special features such as the brand-new making-of documentary of the story called ‘La Fiesta del Mal’ (‘The Feast of Evil’) and the ‘Behind the Sofa’ item with Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant, Terry Molloy, Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton, Janet Fielding, Sylvester McCoy and Wendy Padbury.
Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my updated review for ‘The Two Doctors’ by clicking on the link for it. This contains a review on the TV story. I’ve also done a review on ‘A Fix with Sontarans’, a mini-episode starring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor, Janet Fielding as Tegan and Gareth Jenkins as himself. You can purchase ‘Doctor Who – The Collection – Season 22’ on Blu-ray either from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com.
Enjoy!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂
