Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
We come now to what I consider to be the weakest story in Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Timelash’. It’s been nice to revisit this ‘Doctor Who’ story in the Season 22 Blu-ray box set, featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. They’re joined by Paul Darrow (of ‘Blake’s 7’ fame) as the villainous Tekker and the TARDIS duo also confront the monstrous Borad, played by Robert Ashby.
I greatly enjoyed revisiting ‘Timelash’ on Blu-ray via its updated CGI effects option. The CGI effects for the Timelash tunnel are very impressive compared to the original visual effects in the TV story. I’ve also enjoyed checking out the new Blu-ray special features for ‘Timelash’, including the ‘Behind the Sofa’ item with Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant, Terry Molloy, Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton, Janet Fielding, Sylvester McCoy and Wendy Padbury. It’s also been nice to watch Nicola Bryant’s ‘In Conversation’ interview with Matthew Sweet.
