Day 2 – ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2022

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Day 2 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2022.

And it’s time for the Fourth Doctor to pick a new set of clothes from the TARDIS in ‘Robot’! 🙂

It’s really funny when Tom Baker’s Doctor pops out of the TARDIS and he’s dressed in a Viking suit. The Brigadier and Harry Sullivan are shocked, and the Doctor has to go back inside in order to avoid attracting attention. I wonder though what the show would have been like with Tom Baker as a Viking.

The next couple of costumes that Tom Baker’s Doctor wears are of course a playing card jack and a Pierrot clown outfit. I wonder if the Fifth Doctor kept the Harlequin/Pierrot clown outfit from ‘Black Orchid’. 😀 Out of the three non-‘Doctor Who’ costumes Tom Baker wore, my favourite is the Viking.

I found it funny when the Doctor came out in his trademark hat and scarf, the Brigadier was satisfied and determined for them to get on with their mission. It was funnier when Tom Baker’s Doctor offered to go back inside and change again before the Brig went, “No, let’s settle for that please.” 😀

I really enjoyed how the Doctor was distracted by a stamped-on daffodil and the Brigadier was getting impatient, saying, “Doctor, will you please pay attention!” It’s always good when Tom’s Doctor can see the small details compared to the Brigadier and Harry whilst they were solving the mystery.

It became tense when Sarah Jane met Hilda Winters and Jellicoe, and she assumed Jellico was the director of Think Tank and not Miss Winters. It’s interesting Sarah Jane didn’t know that detail before she arrived at Think Tank. You’d think that she would have been given some personnel files from U.N.I.T.

Thanks for watching and reading!

Check out what Day 2 of my ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendars for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 were about!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
