Audio Reviews – ‘Time Wake & Other Stories’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

For today’s instalment of the 2022-23 ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season, we’re checking out the six ‘Doctor Who’ annual stories featured in the ‘Time Wake & Other Stories’ audio collection. I’ve recently listened to the stories featured in ‘Time Wake & Other Stories’ via download on Audible. The story of interest to me is called ‘Night Flight to Nowhere’, featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan. I previously reviewed ‘Night Flight to Nowhere’ in the 1983 ‘Doctor Who Annual’ back in 2019.

I’ve updated my review on ‘Night Flight to Nowhere’ based on the annual story as well as its audiobook version, read by Geoffrey Beevers, who plays the Master in ‘Doctor Who’ The other stories featured in ‘Time Wake & Other Stories’ are read by Dan Starkey, Anneke Wills, Jon Culshaw, Louise Jameson and Colin Baker.

Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my reviews on the stories featured in ‘Time Wake & Other Stories’ by clicking on the links for them, including ‘The Sons of the Crab’ with the First Doctor, ‘Only a Matter of Time’ with the Second Doctor, Polly and Ben, ‘War in the Abyss’ with the Third Doctor and Jo, ‘Famine on Planet X’ with the Fourth Doctor and Leela, ‘Night Flight to Nowhere’ with the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Tegan, and ‘Time Wake’ with the Sixth Doctor and Peri. Stay tuned tomorrow for my updated review on the Big Finish audio story ‘Iterations of I’, starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Janet Fielding as Tegan, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa and Matthew Waterhouse as Adric.
