Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So far, I’ve enjoyed the latest series of ‘Grantchester’ and I’m happy to be watching it on Friday nights on ITV1. With that said, I can’t deny there are a number of things about the series that baffle and astonish me, especially regards character development. Hopefully things will be explored further. 🙂 Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Little Women’ (2019)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My parents and I went to see the latest ‘Little Women’ film at the cinema. This was the 2019 version released on Boxing Day, December last year in UK. I did wonder whether we would see this new film considering a previous ‘Little Women’ film had been made back in 1994. In the end, we did see it. 😀 Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Call the Midwife’, Series 9, Episode 3

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It was another enjoyable Sunday evening with ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Call the Midwife’ recently. The latest ‘Call the Midwife’ episode I’ve seen had some solid character drama again. It was also intriguing to explore medical practices being handled in the 1960s. That would be different compared to nowadays. Continue reading

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Okay, so whilst I found ‘Orphan 55’ a mess of an episode, it was still a pretty enjoyable mess. Would things get better by the time I watched the next episode. Well, I’m happy to say…yes! Yes they did! I greatly enjoyed ‘Nikola Tesla’s Night of Terror’ since it was really gripping pseudo-historical adventure. Continue reading

This ‘Doctor Who’ audio adventure is a multi-Doctor story featuring the First Doctor, the Second Doctor, Jamie, Zoe, Steven and Katarina. Ajjaz Awad stars as Katarina and Nicholas Briggs does the voices of the Daleks in this adventure. I’m glad I’ve heard this adventure by David K Barnes. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Grantchester’, Series 5, Episode 2

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I enjoyed watching Series 5, Episode 2 of ‘Grantchester’ last night. It was another enjoyable episode that combined both character drama as well as a murder mystery. It’s interesting how ‘Grantchester’ does that in one hour of TV compared to other murder mysteries that have 2 hours to tell the story. Continue reading

At last! I’ve read and reviewed ‘The Hobbit’ book by J.R.R. Tolkien. I’ve wanted to read this book for quite some time after seeing ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogy by director Peter Jackson and his filmmaking team. I read ‘The Hobbit’ book featuring Alan Lee illustrations with the audiobook read by Rob Inglis. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Call the Midwife’, Series 9, Episode 2

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I enjoyed the latest episode of ‘Call the Midwife’! Series 9, Episode 2 had some really good emotional character drama this week what with the relationships between a mother and her expectant daughter; a troubling journey for an expectant prostitute and a blossoming romance that may end a bit too soon. Continue reading
