Movie Review – ‘The Three Caballeros’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Last Friday, I saw a childhood classic Disney film I hadn’t seen in a long time. I watched it on VHS in the 1990s and revisited ‘The Three Calablleros’, a 1944 film, on Disney+. It stars Donald Duck with two bird friends – the cigar-smoking parrot José Carioca and the pistol-packing rooster Panchito Pistoles. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘The Moon-Spinners’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My Mum is into her spy-thriller action movies and TV shows such as the ‘Mission: Impossible’ film series with Tom Cruise and ‘The Saint’ TV series with Sir Roger Moore. Is there a film on Disney+ that could satisfy my Mum’s taste in that kind of genre? Well, apparently there is and a good one at that.

Movie Review – ‘High School Musical’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Yes! You’re seeing this right! I’ve seen the movie ‘High School Musical’! It’s ironic to be talking about this movie. For a while, I wasn’t particularly interested in seeing it. It’s clearly had a fan-base since its release on the Disney Channel in 2006. I’m amazed by how much of an impact it’s had pretty lately. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘The Adventures of Huck Finn’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My parents and I saw another Disney film on Disney+ recently! This time around, it’s ‘The Adventures of Huck Finn’, a 1993 adventure film written and directed by Stephen Sommers. Some of you may know him for directing the first two ‘Mummy’ movies as well as the 1994 ‘Jungle Book’ film. Continue reading

Last week on Good Friday, my parents and I watched ‘Davy Crockett: King of the Wild Frontier’ on Disney+. It was a Disney film my Dad wanted to watch since he used to watch ‘Davy Crockett’ when it was shown on TV when he was a kid. I was intrigued about this film and I agreed that we should watch it. Last Friday, I saw ‘Flora & Ulysses’, an original Disney+ movie! This happens to be a superhero family comedy film involving a young girl called Flora and a squirrel called Ulysses. I had a fun time watching this movie on Disney+. I didn’t know what to expect and I came away feel really satisfied. 🙂 Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea’ (1954)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My knowledge of Jules Vernes as a novelist is rather limited. I’ve only heard a few mentions and references to his books in films like ‘Back to the Future, Part III’ and I have seen a film adaptation of ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ with Brendan Fraser. But I haven’t read any of Verne’s books. 😐 Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We’ve had many film and TV adaptations of ‘Robin Hood’. There’s the 1991 film ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’, a 2010 ‘Robin Hood’ film starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett, Captain Picard from ‘Star Trek: TNG’ was Robin Hood in ‘Qpid’ and ‘Doctor Who’ had its episode ‘Robot of Sherwood’. 😀 Continue reading

I have seen this film before as it was shown to me and my class when I was at primary school in the 1990s. I enjoyed the film as a kid. It was nice to revisit the film on Disney+ with me as a grown-up. 🙂 Continue reading
