In the meantime, I’ve shared my latest reviews on Series 2 of the new ‘All Creatures’ series as well as the 2020 Christmas Special, which I’ve enjoyed revisiting on DVD lately.

DVD review – ‘Becoming Jane’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So, I was planning to do an updated review on the 2019 film ‘Little Women’ and perhaps do a quick review on the 1994 film adaptation. Sadly, that hasn’t come about with things getting in the way. Thankfully, I can make up for that by doing an in-depth review on the biographical drama film ‘Becoming Jane’, focusing on the early life of Jane Austen. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After all these years since I shared my review on it in 2017, ‘TravelWise’ – the four-part educational video drama starring ‘Doctor Who’ stars like Sarah Sutton, Nicola Bryant, Nicholas Courtney, Colin Baker and Peter Miles – is now on YouTube, thanks to Critical Penguin! I’m very pleased ‘TravelWise’ is now available to see on YouTube. Continue reading

DVD review – ‘Little Dorrit’ (1987)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here’s my latest review on the 1987 film adaptation of ‘Little Dorrit’, based on the novel by Charles Dickens. The 1987 film adaptation of ‘Little Dorrit’ is a two-part film. Each part is about 3 hours long, which makes this a 6-hour film altogether. You’ll probably want to spend two days watching this particular film. 🙂 Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Downton Abbey: A New Era’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Having seen the TV series on Blu-ray and revisited the first film on Blu-ray, I’ve at last seen the second ‘Downton Abbey’ film ‘A New Era’ on the big screen! In fact, I’ve seen the second ‘Downton Abbey’ movie twice at the cinema! In my opinion, I found the second film better than the first film. 🙂 Continue reading

I’m hoping to watch the film on the big screen soon (hopefully by the time you read this review, I will have seen it already). It’s fitting I should finish watching the ‘Downton Abbey’ TV series before I check out the new movie. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

For Christmas 2021, I gave my Mum the complete series of ‘Hetty Wainthropp Investigates’. This is a crime drama series, featuring Patricia Routledge as the title character. Many of you will know her for playing Hyacinth Bucket in ‘Keeping Up Appearances’. It was nice to see her in this TV drama series. Continue reading

Good Friday 2022

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

A happy Good Friday to you all! Today, I’m sharing my review on ‘Jesus of Nazareth’, a 1977 TV dramatisation on the Biblical story of Jesus Christ, directed by Franco Zeffirelli and featuring a stellar cast led by Robert Powell as Jesus. I used to watch ‘Jesus of Nazareth’ as a kid at around Christmas and Easter time. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Partners In Crime’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Back in March, I gave my Mum her birthday present, which she enjoyed. Since she loves crime drama, I gave my Mum the 2015 series of Agatha Christie‘s ‘Partners In Crime’ on DVD. I’m glad she enjoyed it as well as me and my Dad. I’m saddened the series wasn’t renewed for a second season. 😦 Continue reading
