Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

In the past few days, I’ve been checking out two film adaptations of ‘The Secret Garden’, based on the 1911 book by Frances Hodges Burnett. They were the 1993 film adaptation and the 2020 film adaptation. Last year, I did a trailer review featuring predictions for the recent 2020 film adaptation. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Knives Out’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

You may have noticed that I have an interest in crime dramas in film and on TV. Whether it’d be film/TV adaptations of Agatha Christie‘s novels or episodes of ‘Grantchester’, I watch and review them on my blog now and again, sharing what I think works in a TV or film crime drama and what doesn’t. Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After enjoying 1991’s ‘Five Children and It’ and 1993’s ‘The Return of the Psammead’ by the BBC over Christmas 2020, my parents and I enjoyed watching 1976’s ‘The Phoenix and the Carpet’ by the BBC. Yes, I know there’s a 1997 ‘The Phoenix and the Carpet’ by the BBC, but I’ll see it another time. Continue reading

For Christmas 2020, I gave my Mum a 3-disc DVD set of an ‘Agatha Christie Collection featuring Peter Ustinov’ in his ‘classic role’ as Hercule Poirot. For my Dad, I gave him a Blu-ray edition of 2016’s ‘Pete’s Dragon’. We’ve enjoyed watching these films very much over the Christmas holidays. Continue reading
