‘Call the Midwife’ – Series 7 REVIEWED

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

At this point, three episodes of Series 10 of ‘Call the Midwife’ have been transmitted on BBC TV. I of course haven’t seen them yet. I’m currently watching the seasons set before Series 10. I’ve finished watching Series 7 and I’m looking forward to revisiting Series 8 and 9 before I watch Series 10 on DVD, which I’ve pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk. Continue reading

There will come a time when the 2020 Christmas Special of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ series will come out on DVD. Hopefully with the Series 2 DVD after Series 2 gets transmitted sometime later in the year on Channel 5 in the UK. In the meantime, let’s revisit Series 1 of the new ‘All Creatures’ series on DVD. My Mum enjoyed her birthday present this year, which was the complete series of ‘Rosemary & Thyme’, starring Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris. I’m very pleased my Mum enjoyed ‘Rosemary & Thyme’. The latest news I’ve heard about ‘Call the Midwife’ is that Series 10 has completed filming. This is good news, especially during difficult times – please keep safe! Hopefully Series 10 will be shown on TV screens soon and hopefully most of us will have the Covid-19 vaccine by then. 🙂 In the meantime, I’ve been checking out Series 6 of ‘Call the Midwife’ on DVD. For Christmas 2020, I gave my Mum a 3-disc DVD set of an ‘Agatha Christie Collection featuring Peter Ustinov’ in his ‘classic role’ as Hercule Poirot. For my Dad, I gave him a Blu-ray edition of 2016’s ‘Pete’s Dragon’. We’ve enjoyed watching these films very much over the Christmas holidays. Continue reading

My Mum received the DVD of the BBC’s 1991 adaptation of ‘Five Children and It’ for Christmas this year! My parents and I spent three days watching the six-part serial on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the 27th. It was an intriguing experience watching ‘Five Children and It’ and was quite enjoyable.
