Whilst it’s the 60th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’ this year, it’s also the 30th anniversary of ‘Power Rangers’, a superhero TV show that I loved watching as a kid. I’ve recently seen the 30th anniversary special on Netflix to commemorate the occasion – ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always’.

Convention Report – ‘London Comic Con Winter 2022’

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I know I said I was holding back on this comic con after attending ‘Collectormania 27’ in Birmingham back in September. But after seeing Jodie Whittaker (the Thirteenth Doctor) and David Tennant (the Tenth Doctor and now the Fourteenth Doctor) in the ‘Doctor Who’ BBC Centenary Special called ‘The Power of the Doctor’, I had to go to this event before 2022 was over. I’m pleased I did.

Jason David Frank (1973-2022)

Hello everyone.

On my return trip home from attending a convention in London last Sunday, I was shocked to discover that Jason David Frank, who played Tommy Oliver in ‘Power Rangers’, died at 49. It’s so sad to hear the circumstances of his death, as I enjoyed ‘Power Rangers’ as well as Jason David Frank being Tommy.

I had a fantastic time last weekend at the ‘Film & Comic Con Glasgow 2019’ at the Braehead Arena. This was a two-day event from Saturday the 17th to Sunday the 18th of August. I saw my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stars at the comic con – Sarah Sutton (who played Nyssa with Peter Davison), Sophie Aldred (who played Ace with Sylvester McCoy) and Katy Manning (who played Jo with Jon Pertwee).

I’ve had another exciting weekend since I attended the ‘Film & Comic Con Cardiff’ from the 9th to the 10th of March in 2019! This for me was the second of two comic con weekends in March and the event was closer to home. In the first weekend of March, I attended the ‘London Comic Con Spring’.

It’s taken me a whole year to do this, but I’ve finally done it. I’ve reviewed all 60 episodes of ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ – Season 1 on DVD. I’m very pleased I’ve done this. It was a year ago that I purchased the DVD box set of Season 1 of ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ and it has come full circle.

I’ve had an exciting and adventurous weekend at the ‘London Film & Comic Con’ for July 2017. This was the second time I attended the event, as I attended the ‘London Film & Comic Con’ at the Earl’s Court building in July 2011. The event was still so overwhelming the second time I attended it.

Originally when I set up my ‘Power Rangers’ page, I was going to start reviewing the ‘Turbo’ and ‘In Space’ seasons since I watched them on my tablet recently. My plans since then have changed, as Season 1 of ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ is now released on DVD in the UK. And I purchased it!

I’ve now prepared and added some new superhero pages to my ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog!

These new pages are on three specific sets of superhero franchises that I’ve enjoyed watching. There’s ‘Batman’, ‘Power Rangers’ and the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’. I’ve not added any DVD reviews to these pages yet. These are in readiness for me when I come to review films and TV shows from these three superhero franchises. I’m looking forward to digging into these superheroes!
