12 Doctors, 12 Stories – Celebrating 50 Years of ‘Doctor Who’ (‘The Nameless City’)
This story is by Michael Scott and it features the Second Doctor and Jamie. The book has a prologue and is divided into five chapters. This story occurs when the Doctor and Jamie are travelling alone.
The story starts in London, 1968. When Jamie is given a book by an old professor, the TARDIS goes out of control and takes the Doctor and Jamie to an alien planet where they face the alien Archons.
I enjoyed reading/listening to this short story. It is very gripping with the Doctor and Jamie. The old professor that Jamie rescues happens to be called Professor Thascalos, who I presume is the Master.
The audiobook version of this story is read by Frazer Hines, who played Jamie in the TV series and still does in the Big Finish audios. There is also an interview with author Michael Scott on YouTube.
‘The Nameless City’ rating – 8/10
