I absolutely LOVE this Time Line. I makes the most sense.
Are you keeping this up to date? I can’t find The Curse of the Fugue.
Love all the hard work you have put in.

Amazing work but I don’t think Scream of The Shalka is canon. Everyone knows that after Night of the Doctor, the 8th Doctor regenerated into the War Doctor then The 9th Doctor up until The present 13th Doctor or is she the 14th Doctor

Hi Peter.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
I put ‘Scream of the Shalka’ there as a possible alternative since there was the possibility the Shalka Doctor could’ve been the Ninth Doctor before the BBC announced the show was coming back on TV in 2005.

Hi Travis,
I haven’t heard the new ‘Peladon’ release yet. I’ll investigate and see if I can find temporary placements for the stories for certain characters.
Many thanks,
Tim 🙂

Hi Floyd.
Many thanks for dropping a line. Very pleased you ‘love’ my Eighth Doctor’s timeline.
I do my best to keep my ‘Doctor Who’ timelines up to date. I welcome any suggestions to improve it with new stories coming in and where they take place.
I’ve yet to do a timeline for Lucie Miller and Grace Holloway which I hope I’ll get onto soon.
Thanks again, Floyd. Glad you’ve enjoyed my timelines.

It appears to make the most sense out of all that I have seen 🙂
Keep up the good work!
A Lucie ‘Bleedin’ Miller timeline would be a useful tool indeed.

You are the best that’s why. The Timelines of Tardis WIki are hard to follow and get things wrong a lot of the time.

Hi Tim,
Where does the Big Finish Short Trip “Flash Point” sit?
Hope this finds you well.

Hi Floyd.
According to eyespider, they’ve placed ‘Flashpoint’ between ‘The Skull of Sobek’ and ‘Grand Theft Cosmos’.
I’ll place the story there accordingly for now.
Thanks
Tim. 🙂

Hello, again!
Been a while —I’m the chap who asked you about it the long list of abbreviations 😅
Just here to ask where the Stranded series is amongst all this. Wiki says it follows the events of Ravenous, though I came here to be certain and I couldn’t find it at all!
Hope you’re doing well, especially with the world in turmoil at this time!
Kind regards,
Cresswell

Hi Cresswell.
Nice to hear from you again.
I’ve added the ‘Stranded’ series to the Eighth Doctor, Liv and Helen’s timelines. I don’t usually add ‘Doctor Who’ stories to timelines before they’re released. The first ‘Stranded’ volume is meant to come out in July this year, I believe. But for the sake of argument, they’re now added to the timelines I mentioned. I’ll updated the titles of the ‘Stranded’ stories when more information comes via Big Finish.
Yeah I’m doing fine thanks. Keeping busy with my blog. Looking forward to my birthday at the end of this week. Hope you’re doing well too. Keep safe and healthy.
Best wishes

Hello Tim,
Oh I see! I had only recently purchased the bundle —evidently in advance— thinking them released. I imagine it must be the same with Time War 4 then; these being stories I’ve bought but not found in the BF App 😅 Thank you for shedding light there!
I wish you a very happy birthday for then! A shame things haven’t cleared up beforehand, but I hope you have an excellent day of it!
I have found myself with a lot more time to listen to Audiostories, so I’m doing mighty fine!
Nice talking to you, as always.
Kind regards,
Cresswell 🙂

Hey love it timelines just wondering where does Doctor Who – Time Lord Victorious: He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not fit in the Eighth Doctor’s timeline?

Hi Travis.
Nice to hear from you again.
I don’t know where ‘He Kills Me, He Kills Not’ takes place. I’ve not had a chance to listen to it yet. I’m holding back on the ‘Time Lord Victorious’ stories at present as there are quite a lot of them and I would like to know where the whole series takes place. At present, I imagine the Eighth Doctor audios by Big Finish in ‘TLV’ take place during the Time War. Have to wait to be sure. Will come back to this again at a future date.
Thanks,
Tim. 🙂

Any word on the TLV timeline?
I’ve been using this site’s timeline for a year and and half, about mid 8 now (dark eyes). Would love to be able to listen to TLV while I’m here!

Hi Nick.
I’ve been waiting for all the ‘Time Lord Victorious’ stories to come out since there are so many of them. I’m planning on getting to hear/read/view them sometime soon in 2021. Hopefully they’ll be added to the various timelines connected to certain Doctors in ‘TLV’ soon.
Happy New Year to you too.

Roger that! I saw your reply from Oct 20th, and was more seeing if you’ve put any other thought into it.
Like I said, I’m mid 8 now, but if I manage to finish listen/watch run though before you get a chance to listen to the TLV stuff, I’ll try to send you my thoughts on it?
Hope you enjoyed last night’s episode!
Cheers!

Hi Nick.
I have recently added some ‘Time Lord Victorious’ stories to the timelines of the Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Doctors. Hopefully I’ll clarify their placements once I get to read/hear/view them.
Yes, I did enjoy yesterday’s episode. I’ll be sharing a review on it soon.

Hi Tim,
You used to have a system that numbered each entry like this:
3. The Eighth Doctor with Samantha and Fitz
26. Doctor Who and the Taint (Book) – EDA*
27. Demontage (Book) – EDA*
28. Revolution Man (Book) – EDA*
29. Dominion (Book) – EDA*
30. Unnatural History (Book) – EDA*
31. Autumn Mist (Book) – EDA*
32. Inference – Book One (Book) – EDA*
33. Inference – Book Two (Book) – EDA*
I loved that system as it really helped with keeping all my folders in order.
Is there a way as a user to make this reappear? 🙂
Love your work.

Hi Floyd,
I’m glad you liked the previous numbering system for the timelines. If it’s all the same to you, I’d rather not go back to that as I’d prefer to stick with bullet-pointing the stories rather than numbering them. One of the problems with the numbering system was changing the numbers in the stories’ listing manually and very often the numberings weren’t always correct. Doing the bullet-pointing for the stories makes it easier for me to navigate and it saves a lot of time when adding a new story to the list.
Very pleased you continue to enjoy using my timelines.

Another issue is that I can’t format the numbering when in numbering mode – meaning, I can’t change the numbers to 2 or 3 instead of 1. It doesn’t work like that in the numbering option as far as I know when using WordPress. It works when I number the stories manually but it’s very time-consuming and I’d rather bullet-point the stories to save time rather than having to change the numbers manually.

That absolutely makes sense.
I will do it manually myself.
Thank you so much for everything.

I feel the Interference gap in which the Charley Audios are inserted is artificial. Interference Book One establishes that ‘What Happened on Earth’ is only months before Eight telling the story to Foreman and ‘Toy Story’ establishes that Compassion and Fitz have rejoined the TARDIS by that point. So there’s no way for Charley’s whole run to fit in that gap.
I understand the desire to put the Charley Audios in there (What with Romana II and all), but the Lucie Audios also have Gallifrey in them and are placed after ‘The Gallifrey Chronicles’ and we already know even if Romana was to become the same Romana III on the post ‘Gallifrey Chronicles’ restored Gallifrey, Brax edits her timeline to erase that incarnation anyway, so its perfectly possible, and lines up better (Given the Gallifrey Series effectively began in Neverland and continues into the Last Great Time War), for the Charley Audios (And by extension Samson, Gemma and Mary) to fall after the Gallifrey Chronicles.
The rest of the timeline is good but that part specifically feels like a holdover from the mids 00s/early 10s when Intervention Earth hadn’t released and BF wasn’t firmly tied to New Who yet.

An amended timeline would be as so
1. The Beginning of the Eighth Doctor
2. The Eighth Doctor with Samantha
3. The Eighth Doctor with Samantha and Fitz
4. The Eighth Doctor with Izzy
5. The Eighth Doctor with Jen
6. The Eighth Doctor with Fitz and Compassion
7. The Eighth Doctor on Earth
8. The Eighth Doctor with Fitz and Anji
9. The Eighth Doctor with Fitz, Anji and Trix
10. The Eighth Doctor with Fitz and Trix
11. The Eighth Doctor with Destrii
12. The Eighth Doctor with Mary
13. The Eighth Doctor Alone
14. The Eighth Doctor with Charley
15. The Eighth Doctor with Charley and C’rizz
16. The Eighth Doctor with Lucie
17. The Eighth Doctor with Tamsin and Lucie
18. The Eighth Doctor with Molly
19. The Eighth Doctor with Molly and Liv
20. The Eighth Doctor with Liv and Helen
21. The Eighth Doctor with Josie
22. The End of the Eighth Doctor

Hi Tim,
Just a question.
I was wondering why the 2022 and 2023 anthologies have been placed after Ravenous and before Stranded?
Ravenous ends with a cliff hanger leading directly in Stranded if I remember correctly.
Would they not take place between Liv leaving Tania and coming back at the end of Stranded?
Fully open to me being wrong. 🙂
Kind regards,
Floyd

Hi Floyd,
I haven’t heard the ‘Ravenous’ and ‘Stranded’ box sets yet, so I didn’t know ‘Ravenous’ ended on a cliffhanger. I also don’t know the details of what went on in the ‘Stranded’ box sets. The placements of the 2022 and 2023 anthologies are temporary as they haven’t been released yet.
I’ll re-position the 2022 and 2023 anthologies in the Eighth Doctor, Liv and Helen’s timelines for the time being.
Many thanks,
Tim 🙂

Great resource thank you. I am interested in your placement of the TLV audios for #8 as I don’t recall any time war references in them (at least from #8’s perspective). In my head they’re among his final adventures as the war begins, whereas the CDNM plays explicitly take place during the war.

Hi Matthew,
Glad you’re enjoying the Eighth Doctor’s timeline. I believe the placement of the ‘TLV’ stories was based when they came out in terms of release order. I was also taking ‘The Night of the Doctor’ costume the Eighth Doctor wore into account. I can see your reasoning though. I’ll rearrange the stories so they can match with what Eyespider’s got and have the TLV stories set earlier rather than later.
Many thanks,
Tim 🙂

Thanks! I didn’t mean it as a criticism by the way, just wasn’t sure if I’d missed a reference! I think he is also wearing a blue version of his time war costume (same colours as the DWM version of the TVM costume) so in my mind it’s meant to be a bit separate from the Time War albeit much closer to his end than his beginning

No worries, Matthew.
I appreciate your feedback. It helps me to rethink the initial placements I made for certain stories in each of my ‘Doctor Who’ timelines.
Best wishes,
Tim 🙂
