At last! After a long time since I reviewed ‘Neverland’ in 2017, I’ve reviewed ‘Zagreus’, the 40th anniversary special of ‘Doctor Who’. This stars Paul McGann and India Fisher with Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Lalla Ward, Louise Jameson, Nicholas Courtney and Don Warrington. It also features Anneke Wills, Elisabeth Sladen, Mark Strickson, Sarah Sutton, Nicola Bryant, Caroline Morris, Maggie Stables, Bonnie Langford, Sophie Aldred, Lisa Bowerman, John Leeson and more. After enjoying ‘The Doctors: The William Hartnell Years’ DVD, I was looking forward to seeing the next ‘Myth Makers’ compilation DVD I had for my birthday this year. I’ve now seen ‘The Doctors: The Pat Troughton Years’! Or should it be ‘The Doctors: The Patrick Troughton Years’? Same thing, I suppose. As we currently go through this tough period of the coronavirus – please keep safe – today, I’ve updated my review on the ‘Doctor Who’ story called ‘The Faceless Ones’, starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Anneke Wills as Polly, Michael Craze as Ben and Frazer Hines as Jamie. This updated review is based on the 2020 DVD/Blu-ray release featuring new animation episodes that fill in the loss of the original TV episodes that are currently missing from the BBC Archives.
